To charge your phone, get a desktop charger to use to charge your battery and you should also get another battery so that while charging one battery you will be using the other battery

sound like the condenser fan motor by the compressor has stopped and the not allowing the proper cooling check that also you should have waited at least 6 hr upright before starting the unit

To fix the back cover removed issue, take a piece of folded up paper and stick it between the battery and the back cover. This will keep the battery seated.

I'm pretty sure a cheaper source can be found, but here's a start!

If it is a sidekick 3, then the charging port has gone bad.

It runs about 80 dollars to get fix at cellulardr but can do a workaround for about 30.

You will need to get a charging cradle that has spare battery slot. See the link below:

If you can, try a friends battery, either from a sidekick ID or sidekick 3. The Sidekick ID seems to be having the same issue as the sidekick 3 whefre the charging port goes bad. The best worka round for that is to get a charginfg cradel that has a spare battery slot.

Is it a sidekick 3? If so, is it under warranty? If yes, call t-mobile. The sidekick 3 is known to have an issue with charging ports going bad.

If not under waranty, it will run around 100 dollars to fix.

The other option is to get an external charging cradle and a spare battery. Make sure the cradel has a spare battery chargin slot. This will allow you to allows keep one battery charging and one in the phone. Both items will run about 40 dollars on ebay.
