We have a GE dishwasher with upper and lower sprayers. The upper sprayer (one located right under top rack) won't spray or turn which leaves the dishes in upper rack dirty, any suggestions on how to fix this, will it require replacement of the sprayer arm?

Try c.l.r. to clean dishwasher check and clean lower and upper spray arms out, run no detergent you can also run vinegar in it as well about a cup full, let the machine start to run then stop dish washer for a few hours then restart see if this works for you use a short cycle.

How do you remove the sprayer arm from a GE potscrubber 600

Thought I had a problem with the spray arm or pump because water was not flowing enough to spray the upper rack. But it turned out it was a simple part missing: the "check valve" that is in the lower neck of the spray arm assembly. It's a $10 part. Part #WD1X5488 for GE Potscrubber 600.

Little water to top rack

Your sprayer arms may be clogged.
The upper arm attaches to a tube in the back of the dishwasher. If the support clamps come loose, the upper spray tube will not be flush with the tube and can't carry water to the sprayer arms. Also the sprayer arms can become clogged with paper remnants, bone fragments, or pieces of peeling. You'll need to remove the sprayer arm and flush it at your sink. If there is a jet that is clogged, tweezers will help remove the residue.
I hope this helps. If it does, please come back to Fixya and rate my answer

Dishwasher won,t clean dishes ontop rack

Make sure the top rack is pushed back all the way to connect with upper sprayer arm water port. Also make sure nothing is preventing either sprayer arm from rotating and there is nothing blocking the sprayer arm holes, like seeds or pieces of plastic debris. Also make sure your water heater temp is hot enough.

Lower spray arm siemens aquastop dishwasher doesn't rotate

Sprayers require water to pass through the jets to provide motion to the arms.

Suggestion;

Remove the sprayer from the machine and look for blockages. (Removal should be easy, at it is expected that the user will need to clean the jets occasionally; If you have any problems removing it, consult your manual).

My dishwasher is leaving a lot of residue on dishes

I had the same problem and fixed it by disassembling the lower spray arm and return filter, and cleaning all the junk out.
Most dishwashers have 'risers' that bring the water up to the top sprayer or arm located under the top rack. If the recirculating pump is plugged even a little there won't be enough volume or pressure to get the water up there.
Test this by putting a dry muffin pan in the top rack, flat, and running the dishwasher for a bit. If there is no water on the top (or the bottom) either the top sprayer or the sprayer arm underneath the top rack is not getting enough volume.
To fix this you need to clean out the screen and filter, where the water returns to be recirculated. If you don't have any confidence to remove the parts and clean it out yourself, get an appliance repair person to do the job.

I have a GE dishwasher; spray arm at the bottom does not rotate.

make sure that there is nothing blocking the racks, no big pots or pans, if thats ok then take out the bottom rack, u will see the sprayer, use something long, a screwdriver should do, u should see a slot in the sprayer at the bottom, stick the driver through it and give it a turn, it will loosen, take it off and make sure it isnt clogged, also, ull see a little cover that looks like a grate, take that off also and make sure it isnt clogged under neath
