download a program call ERD. I don't remember if i had to pay for it or not but should be able to read the information off this drive with it. (usually have to boot from the ERD disk)
Always premix fuel and a modern synthetic saw oil in a separate can before use. Never run a 2-stroke saw engine without mixed fuel. Motorcycles use an oil injection pump that allows the burning of straight gasoline, but no one has come up with similar system for saws. Use 40:1 ratio fuel to oil. Hope this helps!
Take a paperclip and unbend it into a straight line. There should be a small pin hole on the face on the DVD ROM drive. Poke the paper clip into this hole and it is the release button to open the drive. Works great when you have powered off your computer and want to get the CD/DVD out without powering back on!
Ok - dont panice FIrst start it an HiT F12 - then select diagnostics and run then - if it runs though good - your hardware is OK. Next restart and as the machine bleeps hit F8 Select safe mode and see if it starts that way. If it does cool. SO now run a disk check on the main drive (c:\) by right clicking on it and selecting "properties" and then TOOLs tab and then DISK CHECK - check the box automatically fix errors and let it run WHen done see if it will restart ok If not drop me a mail [email protected] ;) Mark
I think buying a USB DVD drive is a very sensible idea as internal drives on laptops can be a pain to remove and fit and they are more prone to failure than their desktop brothers because of their flimsy construction.
The event of you inserting a DVD is unlikely to have anything to do with this problem. Probably just a coincidence that it happened after you did so.
Hard drives die eventually and more frequently so in laptops.
I'm afraid you will have to bite the bullet and replace the hard drive.
If you open the DVD from "Media Player Classic", i think it should work. Go to the installation folder of K-Lite Codec Pack (Probably C:\Program Files if you didn't change it) The open de folder "Media Player Classic" and execute "mplayerc.exe".
Make sure the DVD is in the DVD-drive and go to File -> Open DVD
If this does not work, I think you have a very special DVD, or the DVD is damaged...
