This message will populate when you had signal loss during a recording in progress. If you have great signal and still continue to see these msgs then your reciever will need to be replaced.

My dvr skips when it plays recordings

Hey there, willrobwhitt, I saw your post! How long has this been going on for? Does it happen while you're watching live programming or just DVR recordings? Let me know so I can get a good understanding of the situation!

My 622 DVR dual (DISH ) receiver has lost 3 local channels in a row ( SAT 61.5) . Connecticut 7385,7386,7387 - (ch 20,24,26.) Other tv's/ HD box and old 310 box converters work fine. I have unplugged,...

Hello, my name is Daniel Busa with Dish Network customer service. Whats probably causing the issue would be that either you're not getting high enough signal strength on the 61.5 satellite. Otherwise there could be an issue with the box if you swap it with another reciever in the home, and the issue follws it you'll need a new box.

My receiver wont stop recording after the program ends it will just keep recording how do i stop this

My name is Anthony Thomas with DISH Network Customer Service. This issue is usually due to a faulty program guide with "No Information Available" or incorrect information as to when the programming ends. This can be caused by a faulty Electronic Program Guide (EPG) download, a faulty box, or by signal loss. By pressing the guide button to bring up the guide, and then pressing the numbers 999 and then browse (the right arrow by select) it should give a message that says "The guide information is outdated, download from satellite now?" or something similar. Try it and see if that helps.

If not, that means there is likely a signal issue or an issue with the DVR. To check signal, Press Menu (top left corner of remote under SAT, has three horizontal lines on it), and then press 6-1-1 like you are changing the channels. That should get you to Point Dish. Check Switch will be an option on the right side. Select it and then select TEST at the bottom of the Install Summary screen that will show up. Select YES if there is a warning about TV2, otherwise it will bring up a 058 message saying to wait while test is done. The message 058 will disappear by itself. If a warning 836 message appears, your issue may require a technician due to signal loss. If not, select done to exit Install Summary, Done again to exit Point Dish, and then press the 0 button three times to select the cancel option. This should put you to an "Acquiring Satellite" Message(Attention 015/535 message) and then download the guide (Attention 330). Check it then. If it still doesn't work, the box may need replacing. If it works, you are all done! Hope this helps!

My dvr will not record. We moved the location of the tv and may not have hooked everything back up correctly. I have 2 tvs on this receiver and it will not record on 1 or 2.

dvr's record from the signal input, not from the tv. tv's are just used to display.i expect the input from ariel? sat dish? freeview box? is not connected right

Dish 510 DVR that wont record properly or play paused TV show

Make sure that the software is correct. Should be P4.07
you can go into the DVR and replace the hard drive but I would suggest getting Dish Home Plan, Replace the receiver and then cancel the Home Plan. Talk to Dish Network and they will work with you.

DishViP DVR cuts off recorded shows

Reset the DVR and it "found" the rest of the program recording. Not sure of the reason for the loss, but resetting works to correct it.

Recorded shows/movies skip when played. Frame freezes and then jumps ahead a few seconds. Problem is progressively getting worse.

The hard drive is failing. I suggest you have it replaced before it is totally gone. When the technician comes out ensure he checks the system end to end to eliminate any other possible issues that may be conducive to a future loss of service. Dish technicians are tasked with this responsibility however a sub may not do the same. Thanks for using Fix Ya.

Dish DVR problems

if the show that you are recording is also skipping on live tv, then it could be 2 things. it could either be a broadcasting issue (which the broadcasting center at dish network would have to correct on their end) or 2. it could be that your dish needs realigned. also if you purchased the dish dvr through dish network their models are quite often refurbished where they fix old models and send them back out. (most satellite companies do this) contact dish network and let them know you are having a problem, they may replace your dvr and if you have a protection plan they will often replace it for free.

DVR does not play whole recording only 20 sec.

it sounds like its going to be corrupted but to keep this from happening again you shoud do a hard reset which is unplugging it for 30 seconds and plugging back in

Problem with recorded playback

It is possible that during a set time of day this problem can occur due to aged hardware such as a barrel or the LNB becoming overheated during that time of the day. If you are home during that timeframe and the weather is consistent and the problem does not exist then I would order a replacement receiver.Dish has some new receivers that allow one to use an external hard drive to increase record capacity as well however they are HD receivers. Currently Dish has a shortage due to production in the 625 model and you may be able to get a 722 rx with 300hrs of record time and external hard drive capability at no additional cost to you do to inventory shortages. If you do opt to get a new rx and get an HD model Dish shoud waive the HD fee for not having HD programming due to this. The key to getting this free upgrade if you will is not to ask for the 722. Let Dish's inventory dictate that unless you just want to upgrade your system in which case ther may or may not be additional charges. Hope this helps you out.
