This can be a driver issue.

I would go to the manufacturer website and retrieve the most updated driver for your wireless card.

Then, go to device manager
Right-click on "My Computer" -> Click on Manager --> click on Device Manager

And uninstall the wireless card. For example, my wireless card name is
INTEL/Pro Wireless 3945ABG Network

After you do that, go to Control Panel and click on 'Add Hardware". Click on "Next" and it should detect your hardware.

After it detects the wireless card, point it to the most updated drivers that you downloaded.

See if that works.

Wireless lan won't work on sony vaio vcg-rb43 after disk restore

Go to Windows Updates and see if there is an update their sometimes that happens with drivers. Start there Updates and install all the updates hardware updates as well. If that does not assist you there may be a fix at the Sony Vaio support drivers and download for your driver start there. I would download the driver online for the wireless software. Click Here to go to the driver site enter your model and info they request and download whatever you need from there. This should get you up and running again. I hope that this assisted you. Note download the Network anything that has to do with wireless Lan John

Vaio wireless lan switch repeatedly restarts windows

Thats sounds like the wrong drivers for the network card. Some models can have different models or brands of cards so you can get the wrong one in there. You should be able to boot up in safe mode (F8) and then go under control panel - system- hardware manager-network adapters. Find the card that is causing the problems highlight and delete it. Then reboot. This takes the card out of the system and it will be detected as a new hardware next startup. Then try another driver.

You might want to go to the Sony website and check under support to see what other drivers you can get to try for your model. There might be 2-3 to try. Usually the oem disks are right but the replacements don't always get things right.

If this were hardware you shouldn't get the bluescreen of death (BSOD). That usually means software or drivers.

Crash and blue screen with error message

You would first need to make sure Windows does not restart automatically when a blue screen error appears. Then you can analyze the problem and fix the cause.

Have a look at BSDO error fixing.

VGN-S150 wireless LAN switch

You don't need a new computer, a wireless card maybe. The problem is either a wireless driver glitch or the wireless card has failed. Start by uninstalling the wireless drivers from the device manager, then reboot. The machine will find the wireless card and reinstall the drivers. If this doesn't work, then take the card out (located under a panel on the bottom of the machine), clean the card, the slot, and the connectors on the two leads/wires. Sometimes a little dirt or corrosion build up will cause this. At this point, if the problem persists, then the card has malfunctioned and needs to be replaced.
