Cordless phone went dead

Have panasonic cordless phone MODEL #KX-TG-2431-2.4GHZ.I went to pick up while ringing and hit a wrong button & it just went dead.Tried shutting off & tried calling but still dead.took battery out cleaned & replaced but still dead.Unpluged from wall for awhile but still dead.Tried new battery but still dead.Checked all buttons & none are stuck?

Leave batt out for a long period of time,then replace

    get small peice of sand paper fine and clean the contacts on phone and cradle where phone sits,try putting a different phone in socket to proove you have a line.this will check the phone plug and the wall socket,if this does not cure it it looks like the phone is faulty and req new one.

Phone Rings,but cannot answer
if there is no dial tone that means that the connection is not being made when you pick up the phone hence you cannot answer nor can you get a dial tone
the fact that the phone rings indicates that the land line is good so the fault is in the phone itself

Panasonic cordless phone,
press menu,scroll down to ringer settings,hit select,scroll to ringer volume and hit select then press up the round button in the middle until you hear it make a "ring" sound. adjust your preferred volume and hit save.
