Pictures Lost??? We have a large number of pics on our 1GB memory card in our camera. However after unsuccessfully trying to transfer images onto file via the olympus master software, the pictures cannot be viewed on the camera. They don't seem to be erased, as only 10 pictures can still be taken on the memory card (in HQ format). If they were erased there'd be more space available? These pictures are very valuable but I cannot work out where they have gone to. I haven't pressed the Erase All button. When I click on QUICKVIEW to view all the pics, the NO PICTURE blue screen pops up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

EXZS10 - HOW MANY PICS WILL THE INTERNAL MEMORY HOLD? HOW MANY PICS WILL A 4G SDHC CARD HOLD?

That depends on your image size and image quality settings. A 14megapixel picture will take more space than a 3mp picture and thus you'll get less of them to fit. There's a chart in the "Number of Snapshots/Movie Recording Time/Voice Recording Time" section of the manual (page 136 in my copy) that gives an estimate of how many pictures at each setting combination that will fit in internal memory and on a 1GB memory card. A 4GB card will hold about four times as many as a 1GB card.

Bear in mind that these numbers are estimates. The actual size a picture file also depends on the subject. A picture of a finely detailed scene will take more space than a picture of a blank wall, for example.

How do i get the pictures from my camera to the memory card

the question I ask is why would you want to do this?

The camera has XX Mb of memory in case the card becomes full. Generally one downloads the pics on to a PC and deletes the Camera files to start again

If you want to keep the pic files in memory and save them tpo your pc. remove the card for safety.. Interrogate your camera via the connection cord and the software it came with. Download the folder with the pics in memory to your PC. Then delete the files on the camera. Insert the SD card and In menu, set up to save files to SD card rather than memory while there is space.

Olympus FE-370 I have 10 pictures on the camera (tok pics without realising there was no card inside!), but I cant seem to save them to the memory card - I have lost the lead for the camera. Is there...

See page 34 of the manual (available for free download from Olympus below).

http://www.olympusamerica.com/files/FE-370_X-880_C-575_Instruction_Manual_EN.pdf

Or in short, select the "Setup" (tools) menu, and then select "Backup". You'll need to have the memory card installed for the transfer.

Need to put Pictures from Camera onto Memory Card

Hi there. Here is how you do it. Go into the menu and navigate to the Copy screen. Choose an option. One is to copy pictures from the camera's internal memory to the SD card, and the other is copy from the SD card to the camera's internal memory. Then press OK. On the next screen, you have two option choices, either copy all images, or selected images. Hope that helps.

Is it possible to recover my formatted pictures on my XD card

Deleting or formatting won't make the data in xd card erased permanently.

Those deleted data is still stored on the xd card, it's just invisible or inaccessible. Only the FAT or NFTS table is erased (the information about where those data were saved), but the real data are still intact there in sectors of xd card .

So as long as those data are not overwritten by new data, it's highly possible to recover them. And the MOST Effective way is to rely on some format recovery programs.

Try asoftech data recovery program, which can recover data after deeply scanning your xd card drive to look for lost data you accidentally deleted or formatted.

Downloading pictures onto computer

There are Three primary ways to do this...

1. use a (usualy supplied) data cable... normaly a USB cable... it connects to your computer/laptop , Use a Photo utility program to "find" the camera. You should be able to view the pics stored in the camera.

2. If the camera pics are stored on a sim card then simply put that card in a multi card reader... (very inexpensive to purchase and standard on some late model PC's) and in most cases you can pull the pics directly from the card.

3. Take the camera directly to walmart or walgreen's photo station and they usualy can pull the pics directly from it.

give me some more info and I maybe able to give detailed help...
mod# of camera and what model/make of your PC.

Transferring images on camera memery onto memory card.

I had the same problem, and I found after much playing and mostly accidental findings that I could do this by following these steps

1. Put an SD card in the camera. Will not work otherwise
2. Go into playback mode, where you view the pictures, button looks like an blue arrow pointing to the right
3. Press the round 4 way controller downwards, and a menu (that I have never seen before!) appears
4. Choose the 4th icon along on the top line and that will give you options to transfer from memory card to camera and the other way around.
