OK, my bb went to radio use turned off, when i plugged it in to charge, the screen went blank but stayed lit. I took the battery and SD card out along with the sim card replacing only the battery. when i did this the bb will begin to boot up (goes to the hour glass spinning). It will do this for a while, then the bb will shut off, flash the red light and then go back to the screen with the hour glass spinning and fading out. After many attempts i was able to get the BB to boot up all the way where i was able to use it, but as soon as i took a call, the bb shut off and continued to do the same as listed above. If i leave the battery in the bb, it will continue to go to that blank lit up screen and sometimes it wont do anything at all, but just stay lit. ANY ideas? Thanks

Go to www.blackberry.com and download the desktop manager for your phone and service provider and reinstall the software. if it is an unlocked phone you need to navigate to the common files/rim and delete the vender file first.

My Viper remote won't turn on or charge.

The battery is probably dead. There is a guy on ebay that is replacing them. He fixed mine and it works great. The batteries dont last forever and you cannot just buy them they are a special type, also viper suggests you buy a new remote for $299 because they do not replace the batteries... how convenient. Hopefully that helps.

Purchase a USB SD card reader and put your SD card in it and plug that into a USB port on your PC. You can then transfer your pictures to a new folder in your Pictures folder on your PC.

See Universal Memory Card reader: http://cgi.ebay.com/23-IN-1-USB-2-0-MEMORY-CARD-READER-CF-MS-XD-SD-/390284020936?pt=PCC_Drives_Storage_Internal&hash=item5adebd8cc8

After verifying the pictures transferred OK to your PC, place the SD card back into your phone and format it. Once formatted, you can transfer your pictures from your PC back to your SD card.

BB screen is flickering on & off then turned black after in water

If your BlackBerry gets covered in water, act fast and rationally, and you may be able to save your device.
1. DO NOT TRY TO TURN IT ON
2. Pull out the battery.
3. Please your device and battery into a bowl of uncooked rice to absorb any moisture.
4. Please it in a warm, dry place where it can receive direct sunlight.
5. Be patient. It is recommended that you leave it in there for at least 48 hours.
6. After 48 hours, put the battery back in and power on.

New Motorola SLVR is suddenly unresponsive, won't turn on

Try to replace the battery and if the unit is still under warranty advise the store to replace the battery.

This usually means the bb and battery got a little wet or has other issues. Try these solutions in order. They go from easisest to hardest. NOTE: If you have an insurance policy on the bb probably best just to take it in.

1. Remove the back cover. Remove the battery and the SIM card. Wait 30 seconds. Replace SIM, battery and back cover. Reboot. Plug in the bb and charge fully.

2. If that doesn't work, allow the bb to remain unplugged but ON for about 24 hours to drain the battery. Remove back cover and battery. Allow battery and opened bb to sit in a dry environment for 24 - 36 hours. Relace battery and cover. Reboot. Plug in the bb and charge fully.

3. If that fails, try another battery (a friends or one from your cellstore) to see if tat's the problem. If so, (a) retry step 2 but allow battery to FULLY drain then dry out again, (b) buy a new battery for $60 retail or (c) buy a new battery on ebay for a lot less.

4. Take in.

Remove the battery for a couple of minutes while the unit is not plugged into the a/c adaptor. Reinstall the battery, plug the unit into the a/c adaptor, and see if it will boot up.

Will not turn on or take a charge

Hun, the exact same problem happened to me, except i was accepting a text message. You need a new phone, there is no saving it, sorry. I had my phone looked at by an expert, she said that there was sand (particles) in it. I kewp wondering how they got there, then she told me it was because a circuit BLEW. So... besides your phone just not working, your battery is now Dead. You could transfer your sim-card into your new phone, but you would need the number and that has many problems of it's own.
