Pretty easy, just clock them in as normal, then go to timeclock management in the manager menu and edit the times in that field (they don't look like they are editable, but they are).
make sure to check that the displayed date-range is appropriate!

Restaurant Pro Express pullback check, (confirmed, tied to Time Clock), displays EVERY check the employee has ever created. This is supposed to be limited to a 24 hr span as per "Tied to Time...

I was able to recreate your problem. If an employee is clocked in and not out in the past, every check will appear back to the clockin date/time. In TIME CLOCK MANAGEMENT, if you have an idea when this happened, set the starting date back and clock them out. RPE thinks their shift hasn't ended yet. It might be easier to have someone query your database for the mistake and correct it. I'm available.

I added the wrong starting cash.and would like to know how to change it to the right amount

Changing the starting cash drawer count is not a simple procedure. You can clock the employee out. When asked for the drawer count, ignore what is in drawer and enter the incorrect starting amount. Then clock the employee back in and enter the correct starting amount.

If you wish to tidy up the records, go into time management and delete the first clockin record. Then edit the starting time of the second clockin to match the first record that you deleted.

My admin password for Restaurant pro express version 12.0006 suddenly stopped working... HELP!

Try using the default ones. They are ID of 01 and password admin. If this lets you in, go to EMPLOYEE MAINTENANCE and make sure account has not been disabled, then reset the password.
If the defaults don't work, you could restore database from a backup.
If you don't have a recent backup, you will need to add an administrative account to the database manually. This would require technical assistance from me or PCAmerica.

Is there a Restaurant Pro Express technical expert in Chicago? I would like personal help regarding the proper setup of RPE for my cafe. Thanks!

I can setup floor plans, employees, & configure menus including modifiers (eg. how would you like that cooked?). I charge $12/hr to setup menus approx 8 hrs for a 2 page menu. Gina 773-807-2000

Want to buy restaurant express pro is it any good

For the price, it is a good product. It uses an SQL database and can be customized in many ways. As with any good restaurant POS, the main concern is getting the menu programmed into the software so that invoicing flows smoothly. Once programmed, it is easy to show employees how to operate.

Unless you are going to spend a lot of time learning the software, I would recommend letting someone program menu for you. Then you just learn how to modify or change it. (add items or price change)

Here is one reputable programmer's website if interested: http://cpcpos.com/posconfig.htm

How to make more id's

Go to the Manager/Options screen, then to Administrative (on the left) then Employee Maintenance. You can then add employees that way.
