It could be because the Ink cartridge is defective , Did you try removing one cartridge and restrat it to see if the blinking stop , if not put the cartridge back and pull out the other one and try again !

If the orange lamp blinking only it's the print head is not installed, or it is not properly installed.Open the cover remove the print cartridges then remove the print head and put back it on.If not help the print head is defective and need replace.
If the orange lamp blinking with green alternately it's ASF (cam) sensor error.The problem is in sheet feed unit.

Excuse me my English knowledge,I am foreign country.my Canon this was the problem with my printer.the solution:put an original cartridge into him then what it'll be fun.presumably the mouthpiece short-circuit your apparatus,because you refilled it and this causes the problem.

Do you mean it says "offline" under the printer icon in your PC's printer dialog box?
Right click it , then select "use printer online".

either one of the catridge is malfunction, try remove one of it and vice versa see if it not blink. if not, the catridge that you have removed require replacement..
