Hi there, Yes it should be.. Well the main important part is that you have a 64Bit processor installed on it. So just make sure your processor is 64Bit then it will run 2008
make sure that the Ubuntu is seeing an X386 and not a X686 emulated processor. Ubuntu stopped support on 686 procs for the 64bit family awhile back. you can choose this under the items.
I don't think that you "enable" 64 bit processing, you buy a server with a 64 bit processor. Intel's Itanium is such one. You then install Windows Server 2003 x64 version.
That's pretty much it I think.
The resolution in to go the the BIOS, and under the genral tab, enable Virtual Technology.
