Not charging

Try connecting directly to USB port on your computer, NOT a hub. It needs power to charge.

How to I start the c240 up it My computer doesnt

On Windows XP, when you open My Computer, the Sansa C240 shows up at the bottom, under "Other". Because of DRM restrictions, you cannot copy media files to the C240 using Windows Explorer. You have to use Windows Media Player to sync playlists to the C240 (WinAmp can do it also).
I also suggest that you check out RockBox. It's an alternative operating system for portable media players and they have a version for the Sansa C240. It will give you some additional functionality.
As far as I can tell, to copy files to the microSD card (if you're using one) you have to use a media card reader, then insert the card into the C240.

SanDisk Sansa c240

The photo files that aren't showing up don't meet the specification in some way or another - they aren't jpeg, the resolution is wrong, or the file size is wrong. Transferring music files from card in mp3 player to computer may not be possible - connect mp3 player to computer, double-click my computer, and open photos folder or any other folder that looks relevant - see if the said photo files are in there. If not, then you are out of luck.

My sandisk c240 charges when plugged in but fails to be recognized on the computer

There is quite possibly a problem with the USB cable or the USB port on the computer, but try this shortcut force to force the computer to recognize the Mp3 player: Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard

Sandisk Sansa c240 MP3 Player

Its real easy. Open the Sandisk from "My Computer" then just copy the songs from there. Similar with Copy and Paste from one file to another. Click CTRL C to the file you want to copy then put it inside the Sandisk folder CTRL V. That should do it!

What do I do with this "mini disc" supplied with the Sansa MP3 M240player. It is too small to insert on my computer???

Did you look at your CD player's tray? Most have an indented area in the center that accepts mini-disks.
