Admiral 6.5 Cu. Ft. Super Capacity Electric Dryer not drying load

Admiral 6.5 Cu. Ft. Super Capacity Electric Dryer
Model # AED4475TQ purchased lastnight. I see the coil glowing and inside dryer feels warm, but its not drying just a med size load of white clothes, no towels or anything heavy. Any idea why its not drying the load?

Check the vent to the outside. I have seen this before. A customer of mine bought a new dryer because the old one wasn't drying right and the new one did no better. The vent was totally clogged. It's not too good for the dryer either.

How do you adjust the moisture sensor?

The moisture bars are not adjustable in dryers, it is required they be cleaned with rubbing alcohol followed with a rubber eraser, mainly if dryer sheets are used regularly. Loads that are too small for the capacity of the dryer will also cause the dryer to shut off too soon leaving the load still damp, in cases of that, a "more dry" setting should be used. My Kenmore 6.7 cu ft he2 Super capacity electric dryer is taking twice as long to dry. no error codes

It sounds like a connection problem with one of the heating elements, or perhaps only a clogged input or output hose from the dryer. Either of these could cause the problem...also, a burned out electric element.

Going from a 3 prong to a 4 prong dryer plug

Admiral AED4475TQ is an electric dryer? Was your old dryer gas? If so, you need a 220 line installed to run the electric dryer. Here is a link to instructions from ehow http://www.ehow.com/how_5824435_wire-220-plug.html.

Long drying times usually have to run loads twice to get them to dry..

usually an indication that the heaters are not all working. I'd look there first. Could possibly be an undersized or partially clogged vent pipe too. Both are causes for you issue. check it out

Dryer lights works, but when the start button is pushed the drum does not spin. the timer shows the minutes counting off, but no spinning. the dryer worked yesterday, but no today. dryer is a duet...

I am having the same problem. Dried towels last night. This morning, I loaded it, turned it on, it did not lock the door or start drying (spinning) but the timer started counting down. I pressed Cancel twice, unplugged it for a few minutes then tried again. Problem still exists. Any suggestions?

Just dried a load of clothes and every thing worked fine. Put in another load to dry and says it is sensing. Nothing else happens

Here's a quick thing to try. Unplug the dryer, wait a minute and plug it back in. Try drying the clothes again. If this doesn't work, you will require troubleshooting from one of the category experts for dryers. Good luck.
