Kenmore Electric Dryer Model 110.6972110 needs a timing motor. Dryer works fine but timer doesn't advance. Part is NLA from Sears (neither motor nor complete timer assembly).

maybe call a generic appiance store other than sears, try maytag store. the knob pulls staight off and the timer nut is below. then take off the back cover off the control panel, sometimes those screws are on the front corners, sometimes hidden. take a picture of the timer wiring and tape and label all the wires before you remove it. unplug it first!!

Found a used timer on eBay - removed motor and installed. Done. (About $18 with shipping).
