Just finished a screen replacement on my fianc?e 3GS and when I turned the device on I only get the apple loading screen. After a few minutes it goes to a blank screen, and back to the apple symbol and then looks as it is loading. This is a continuous cycle until the battery goes dead. The phone will not turn off or do anything else for that matter when there is battery life left. Only the same blank screen, loading cycle. Charged it back up and same deal. Please help!!????
If iPhone won't turn on, or the display freezes or doesn't respond
More resets:
Try This:
1. Remove Sim Card
2. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until Apple logo appears
3. Replace Sim Card
4. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until normal phone screen appears.
Also, Try this:
1.) Shut down the iPhone 3G.
2.) Start up iTunes
3.) Hold down HOME button on the iPhone 3G
4.) While keeping the HOME button depressed, plug in the Sync cable
5.) A message will pop up to ask if you want to reset.
6.) Just click YES and the reset process should start.

Go to Apple store and show the genius.
Ah. simple solution.
plug into computer.
if the computer "does not recognize" the iphone then there is software missing in the iphone itself so just take it back. you are not going to get anywhere if the computer doesn't recognize it.

iTunes regcognizes my phone, and I've restored it, did the force restore and nothing. Well actually before the first restror. I could not turn the device off. Now if I hold the home and power it fades to apple, goes back on and then turns off. I am lost!!!
