If the line is horizontal (it is a vertical problem) If its a Vertical line (it a horizontal problem) So it could be just a bad solder joint or a component has failed in the horizontal or vertical section. Hope this is helpful.

Why tv shuts off by itself?

Dear User,
People who have faced such problems have tried sticking th epower plug (Going into the TV) a little harder and the thing never went off again.

If this is not the case, then it could be the cat5 network cable. Try keeping it out and observe.

Insignia TV

Ok, I had the exact same problem last summer, and Kevellen told me of a problem that Insignia tv's have: the circuit that controls whether the tv is off or on is messed up, and it can be fixed, but its not cheap.

Anyway, if the t.v. is still under warranty, I would say return it to the store and see if you cant get a new one, and from what I researched online after this incident, I will not buy an Insignia aver again.
hope this helps,

Sony Wega

Please count light flashing again. Light flash time is "0.3 Sec" and there would be pause (light Off time) for "3 Sec". Start counting after pause to next pause.
