Use the Menu system to recalibrate the printer, this should fix your ribbon out issue, if it doesn't you might have a failed sensor.

I have done it without a cheat. I was only able to do it by moving the snowflake a little and then remove the stylus from the screen until you need to make another move. If you leave it in contact, it just goes up and down way to fast. Hope it helps!

If the sound track of the recording you are playing is perfect and the noise is coming after you received dirty head error, there must be :

1) sometimes the tape ribbion leaves fine black dust on the drum, below the video head. If you look closely, the video head is in two parts. the lower part is stationary, which has a slanting guide for the tape ribbion to move on. The fine black dust deposites on this guide, disturbing the proper contact of the ribbion with the head, resulting in distorted sound. Once removed the play back is normal. You can blow it off or remove it by fine brush.

When you put the correction tape in make sure it is in the guides on both sides and also between the two metal fingers and the metal cardholder. Also make sure the ribbon goes in the same place.. The dull side of the corr. tape should be towards the platen or it won't correct.

Sounds like the ribbion between the slider has a tare in it. this is only repairable if you have a parts phone with a good ribbion. If your phone is under warranty don't try and fix it your self! Also if your phone has gotten wet at some point it could have water damage, Buy a new phone! Good luck!

Its motherboard problems or drives not plugged in correctly.
It could be that your motherboard is faulty & need to be change or your just not plugging in your ribbion in correctly.

If your ribbions are it correctly & still doesn't work tyhen you need a new motherboard.
