It can be quite tricky to fit, you can buy one,I would however advise to get a supply/fit quote from an engineer as he will get discount on the part, unless you are good diy person ,get hired help....

When I start the washer, it fills just fine with no problems but once it starts the cycle, it gushes water from the bottom of the door

Check the bottom of the plastic inner door. If there is a crack or a gouge, have it replaced. Also check the rubber door boot for holes above the water line

LHW0050P Whirlpool washer?

As I understand, when you order the door boot, an instruction paper comes with it. I have done it but each model and make is different. I would research the net also.

at this point and time the best thing to do is replace the door seal.and then make sure after each wash cycle you dry out or leave the door open somewhat in order to help keep it dry and clean

My inglis front loader washer is leaking at bottom of the door....inside rubber area near leak feels gummy....any advice??

Scrub the glass on your door and the rubber boot. This works in almost every case. The washer gets a build up of scum on these parts and doesn,t allow a tight seal. In rare instances you have to replace the rubber boot. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists.

Mildew smell

PLEASE KKEP IN MIND THAT THE MAYTAG NEPRUNE FRONT LOAD WASHER IS WHAT GOT MAYTAG IN TROUBLE!!!!!!
Whirlpool bought MAYTAG about 3 year ago.

THe mold is because of the rubber boot in the front of the door. PLEASE check to see if the rubber seal has a small hole in the lower bottom of the seal to let small portions of water drain out. If you DO NOT have this small hole, you need to replace the rubber boot with one that has a hole.
NOW, WORD TO THE WISE and this is what I tell ALL FOLKS that have a FRONTLOAD WASHING MACHINE:
AFTER you washer in the washer LEAVE THE DOOR OPEN so that the washer can ventilate and remove any moisture that is within.
ALSO, every 2 months, get a WHITE CLOTH with WARM WATER and a littl;e bit of BLEACH and CLEAN THE RUBBER BOOT!!!!!!

Maytag washer MAH6500 leak - door boot issue?

there is a drain hole at the very bottom of the sump
about 1/4 in
if you ahve any other holes you will need a new boot
there is no real way to patch them, most patches will not flex enough to stay in place
ive included the part number you can order from sears
22003070
the best way to get one over on sears is to order it
then you cazn either fix it kinda hard but id walk you through it
or when the part arrives shedule service, just tell them its leaking

only when the tech gets there tell them you have a boot
sears hates self diagnostics and you will go to the bottom of the list

MOLD REMOVAL FROM WASHER RUBBER BOOT

Try this:

Run an empty load and as soon as water has filled and the washer begins to run, open the washer door (probably have to pause the washer via the control panel) and add 3 - 4 cap fulls of regular bleach. If you don't have regular bleach, you can try vinegar. After cycle completes, open washer and wipe the entire gasket with an old towel.

When washer is not in use, prop the door open so the inside can fully dry.

Please report back here with the results and if you are still having problems, we can take the next steps if needed.

Washer will not start

"Fdl" is definitely a door latch error. This will cause the washer not to start. You will need to replace the latch to keep from getting errors and intermittent problems. It will only get worse until it fails altogether. To replace, just follow these steps: 1. Unplug the washer. 2. Feel around the rubber door boot along the front edge. At the bottom, behind the rubber you will find a tension spring. Pull the tension spring out and remove the wire retaining hoop. 3. Remove the door boot from around the door opening and push inside the washer so you can access the door latch behind the front panel. 4. Remove the three screws on the front of the washer that hold the latch in place. 5. Carefully remove the wire connecting plugs to the door latch and remove latch assembly from plastic retainer holding it in place. 6. Replace the door latch in the reverse order of the steps given. 7. Reinstall rubber door boot around the door opening making sure you seat the rubber all the way around the groove. 8. Now comes the hard part - putting the retaining spring back in place. Position the tension spring at the six o'clock position and start inserting the hoop from the top first, working your way around to the 4 and 8 o'clock positions. The assistance of another person would be great right about now. Hold the hoop in place at the 4 and 8 o'clock positions, making sure you keep enough tension on the hoop to keep it seated in the groove. 9. Stretch the tension spring in order to snap the remainder of the hoop back into place. I know this may seem like a lot, but it is a fairly simple repair. I hope this helps you.
