How to reset acer aspire 5253 laptop

ACER has its own utility to factory restore. If by prsseing f10=crtl-f-10 or 11 doesnt work look in My Comptuer see if there is a restore partiton listed if you only see C drive and no ther partition then you have lost the partition and will need disk. but ACER has its empowering tecnology so try there to if you have it on your machine and the restore partition is in there you can run it from there.

How to do full system recovery for my sony vaio PCG-4JBP? thk u

Not sure what you mean when you say "full system recovery" but the operating system will have system restore points that you can access from the control panels system protection option. If you want to perform a factory default reset, start up the laptop and then look out for options that can be accessed by pressing one of the number function (Fn) keys. I believe the Vaio range comes with an option to restore the laptop back to it's shipped factory defaults, the interface is reliable and did a great job when I restored a Vaio VGN-NW20EF, came out like new!

Need factory settings to be reset on seimens fujitsu laptop. How do I do it please? i do not have the model number at present

There may be an option to reset the laptop to factory settings by exploring the boot up options when you turn on your laptop. Keep your eyes peeled for function key options when you power up the pc as I recently reset a Sony Vaio by using the factory reset/recovery application from DOS, worked like a charm. Conversely you might be able to use a system restore point within the operating system found in the control panel as long as the system restore date goes back far enough.

Computer crash. Have No recovery disk.

    Hi jgar2141,

If you are trying to restore the Computer to the factory settings, it is not required to have the Recovery Discs as you can use the Recovery Partition which is present in the hidden partition of the Hard Drive. To access the Recovery Partition, restart the Computer, press and hold the F10 Key for 7 to 10 seconds. This will boot the Computer to the Edit Boot Options screen. There, please press the Enter Key.This will launch the VAIO Recovery Center. In the VAIO Recovery Center window, you can select the "Restore C: Drive" option to restore the Computer to the factory settings. (Selecting the "Restore C: Drive" option will erase all the Data in the Computer and restore to the factory defaults)

After selecting the Restore C: Drive, please follow the simple onscreen instructions to proceed with the System Recovery. The System Recovery process using the VAIO Recovery Center should fix all the Software issues in the Computer and restore the Computer to the factory defaults.

    Good Luck!

Please post back if you have any questions or require any further assistance.

    SONY VAIO

    Save Data if possible.

Use Restore System; Restore Computer to Factory "New" Condition.. Sont Vaios have a Key Prompt which you hold down while booting and the Replacement Software already on a Sector of the Hard Drive. Check THe Manuel for this OR CALL SONY CUSTOMER SERVICE AND JUST GIVE THEM THE MODEL NUMBER AND ASK THEM WHICH BUTTON YOU PUSH ETC TO RESTORE THE COMPUTER TO "FACTORY CONDITION"
