Files on a flash drive can be corrupted if it is not removed from the USB port properly.
Before removing the flash drive click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon and then click on the flash drive you want to remove and then remove the flash drive when the computer message says it is Safe to remove.
To restore the flash drive you may need to format the flash drive, but you will lose the data stored on the flash drive.
If you need the data on the flash drive these WEB sites may help: -

GA-EP43 -UD3L motherboard will not boot with 16 GB of memory

Time to RMA, sounds like you have a faulty memory channel on the MB. Possibility the slots are not getting enough power to handle all 4, you try to see if you can increase power in bios.

I have a Sony digital camera model # DSC S75. I would like the largest memory stick available for still photos. I get confused with GM and MB. I found one for 32 GB, is that the lrgest and about how much...

I did a bit of research on this, and you're going to have to be very careful. Your camera is only compatible with the very first generation of "memory stick". That sounds like a generic term, but it's actually a Sony specification. Please take a look at the wikipedia page on memory stick, and note all the newer versions. Also note that the 'memory stick' is no longer manufactured. Here is a list of memory sizes, I agree that the Mb and Gb are confusing. Each one is double the size of the one before.

8 Mb
16 Mb
32 Mb
64 Mb
128 Mb
256 Mb
512 Mb
1 Gb
2 Gb
4 Gb
8 Gb
16 Gb
32 Gb
64 Gb

Now, you will have to find a genuine Sony "memory stick" and not the Pro, or Duo, or anything like that. When they were manufactured, the largest one was 128 Mb, so that is the limit for your camera. Anything in "Gb" or Gigabytes cannot be a memory stick. I did find 128Mb memory sticks on Amazon. The review page on DPreview will tell you how many pictures you can store on a card half the size, just double it.

I having HP Pendrive. It is having data inside. But, while trying to open my pen drive. It is giving the error( Please insert pen drive) But in properties is showing 0 GB. Even i can't to do the format...

The stick is dead as a dodo, the data is gone. Next time remember that a USB memory stick ages every time you put some data on it so it wears out very quickly. so it should never be used to carry data that hasn't been backed-up on another media.

Memory Stick error

Hello!

Following types of memory sticks are compatible with the Camera model DSC-V1:

Memory stick: 32/64/128 MB
Memory stick Pro: 256 MB/512 MB/1 GB/2 GB.
Mark 2 Memory stick Pro: 1/2 GB.

However, in order to use Memory Stick Duo or MagicGate Memory Stick Duo media with the Camera, a dedicated adapter (MSAC-M2) must be attached.

Follow the steps given below to troubleshoot the Camera that is not recognizing any compatible memory sticks:

http://www.kb.sony.com/selfservice/documentLink.do?externalId=C186797

Furthermore, you may try resetting the Camera to the original factory settings by pressing and holding the Reset button for 30 seconds.

If the issue persists even after performing all the above mentioned steps then the Camera is required to be diagnosed and serviced.

16 GB USB 2 MEMORY STICK I cannot format the pendrive. 2)when i double click on the removable disk,it says ''Please insert a disk into Drive E :'' 3)i used a pendrive format utility but the problem...

I'm a little confused as you mention both Drive E. which suggests Windows and gnome which suggest linux.

WARNING: Formatting the disk will erase any data on it. Do not format the disk if you are trying to get the data off it that was on it yesterday.

It is possible that the partition table has been corrupted.

If you are using windows. You can either try right clicking on the drive (not double clicking) from Windows Explorer (My Computer) and clicking format. Choose the file system type and go. Alternatively, you could work through the disk management administrative tool. Right Click on My Computer -> Manage -> Disk Management. Right click on the volume and format it.

If you are using linux, see if you have a valid partition table using fdisk for the device. Then, after creating the partition, use mkdosfs to format the drive. If you have formatted the drive as a linux partition, such as ext2, ext3, or reiserfs, it is likely that Windows will not see it as a valid drive.
