Printer I got a laptop for x-mas and it came with Windows Vista. I have a Samsung SCX-4200 printer and when I loaded the info I found out that it is not compatible. Is there a way to make it compatible so I don't have to buy a new printer?

When I receive my printer , there was no cd. I found drivers at samsung.com. it is hidden pretty well.I install the drivers but only the printer worked. In device manager click update device drivers. The device tree will open . look for your printer . I found mine under the usb root. Rigth click and choose update driver. If your device have scan, you find it also here in the device manger under i think scanners and cameras. Rigth click and update. For staters ,I think windows failed us in Vista, while XP was really good. I hope i could have helped you as this frustrated me aswell.good luck
