My dell studio 1555 is slow in getting started. any solutions?it takes long time to open the programs.

    i have dell 1555 with vista and is a headace it start very slow from the day first i use a lot of tool like tuneup utilites etc but it start very very slow

I'd assume that you need a RAM upgrade. (If you're using a Windows 7 64-bit and have less than 4GB RAM)

Could you provide us with your configuration for better answers i.e. Your OS, Memory (RAM) etc...

If your computer's ram is low try upgrading it
/or maybe your computer is infected with virus try to have a full scan on your computer
/or you hard disk's free space is too low try deleting unwanted files.

have you tried a different power source or power supply ,maybe you can borrow one from a friend and try and if that don't work you might have to take it apart and see if your power cable is seated properly in the motherboard

My pc running very slow, when i start window 7 it will take 20-30 for start. what i do for better performance. i have many time formatting my system . but problem is still fix.
    1)Clean the Temp folder - C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Temp
    2)Delete unused user profiles
    3)Uninstall unused programsfrom Control Panel, Programs, Programs and Features
    4)Run CCleaner - http://download.cnet.com/CCleaner/(This should clean up some of those extra caches, temporary files, log files, and other things strewn about your system)
    5)Run Anti-Virus Scan
    6)You might also want to take a look at your start-up items in msconfigand uncheck options you don't need. This'll decrease your computer's boot time significantly, not to mention free up a few resources
    7)Remove programs in Start-up Folder (Start, All Programs, Startup)

1. disable all streaming files and apps first.
2. run system restore, restore the point when webcam was working fine. if fails.

HOW TO CONNECT 5.1 WITH DELL STUDIO 15(1555) LAPTOP
Open up Control Panel and navigate to IDT Audio Control Panel.
On the right hand side, there would be an image depicting the jacks available on the 1555. Left click on the respective jacks and change them corresponding to the 5.1 outputs. 21d6042.jpg
