Mitsubishi WD-52525 was working fine and now it will not turn on

Last night out Mitsubishi WD-52525 was working just fine. We turned it off when going to bed and now this morning there is nothing. I have it plugged into a Monster Power component and thought that maybe a powersurge occurred last night and tripped the fuse, but it was fine. I unplugged the tv power cord from the Monster Power component and plugged it into the wall outlet directly. Still nothing. It appears that the tv is getting no power at all. No lights come on, no fans turn on. I have tried the reset button but there is no power for that to work. Am I missing something? Is there a fuse or relay switch that may have blown and needs to be replaced. I seems very strange that it has worked absolutely fine and now there is absolutely nothing.

This is just a shot - but it worked with my Sony (same problem).
Pressed remote power on button AND held Power button on TV on at the same time.

Set clicked 4 or 5 times and then came on....

Other, most have a (VERY small) reset switch on the rear - near where the power cord enters the TV... Use a flashlight and a mirror to locate it on your set....

No picture

If i am to understand this correctly, this is a rear projection television. Inside there may be 1 - 3 " color " control boards that control the picture before going on to the projector. an accumulation of dust / dirt / debris has adverse affects on electronic componants, make sure they are dust free (compressed air cleans them off quite well. If using a home compressor, make sure there is a vapor filter to remove water from the airlines.)

If they are clean, and as you said you recently had the television serviced to replace the projection lamp, take the television back to the repair shop to have them determine the problem.

If you yourself replaced the projection lamp, be sure to check all connections are properly seated if you had to disconnect something, make sure they are in the proper places, and any connections are securely connected.

If all else fails, have a local electronics / television repair person check the unit for faulty componants.

Green horizontal lines on screen no picture

The green CRT's (color picutre tube or color wheel, or ballast) will need to be tested for replacement.
It is quite common with these tv's

You will need an ohmmeter and or voltmeter and test each component for currency and accuracy

Mitsubishi wd-65831 one night worked fine next day nothin..

If you hear a whining noise, the odds are it is the color wheel, the bearings are bad in it and will need to be replaced as a whole unit, kinda pricey, my suggestion, sale the bulb and all boards in it and which should fetch about 400+ and invest in a new TV, a color wheel is pricey unless you can find a deal
