-Be sure that the receiver unit is tightly plugged into the USB port.
-Be sure there is a clear line of sight between the mouse and the receiver because wireless mice use infer red to communicate which cannot pass through solid objects very well. Try moving the mouse closer to the receiver or vice versa and see if you get an accurate pointer.
-Lastly, be sure the batteries don't need replacing... Sometimes we can over look the simplest of parts.

better check for corrosion on the battery terminals and see also if its properly placed.
make sure that the battery is not faulty. Fix any loosen connection inside the unit when you open it.
last thing to check is the driver of the mouse. i suggest you run again the driver software to install.

Assuming you are talking about a wireless keyboard and mouse. you should have a sender unit which plugs into the computer to communicate between the keyboard/mouse and computer. When you are setting you normally have to push a button on both the keyboard and mouse to make the connection. On most units you get a flashing green light whilst its making the connection.

If you have multiple Dynex mouse/keyboard sets set-up in close proximity they may interfere with each other causing incorrect operation of the device.
Press the receiver synchronization button on the base unit and the base's blue LED should start flashing. Turn over the mouse and
keyboard and on each device hold down the Connect button for two seconds. This will force the unit to operate on a different channel and
should allow multiple keyboards/mice to operate in close proximity.

If this does not work you may have a defective mouse, but it should work.

I have the same system. Mouse can be ordered, but not easily. Make sure mouse is not working.... i almost made tour same mistake. In my case, the mouse plug (from computer to wireless receiver) had become unhooked. All i could see is that mouse was communicating with wireless receiver but appeared to be frozen. If you can reset receiving channel, and see that receiver acknowledges presence of mouse, you may have my same problem. Also, if you can see that the laser light is working, mouse is probably ok, and batteries are good.

Somewhere on the bottom of the mouse there is a small button, about the size of a ballpoint pen's ink tip. You need to push this in, and push in the corresponding nub on the wireless unit, until they work together. Once you have them in synch, the mouse should work just fine.

Make certain that your batteries - on both units - are brandy new and in full chagre.

Did ya check for life in the batteries? Sometimes the obvious get's missed!

Since you put batteries in it this must be a wireless mouse. Do you have the transmitter/receiver unit connected? Have you pressed the "connect" button so it will start communicating with the mouse? There is a button on the transmitter and one on the mouse, pressing either should connect them.

There are buttons on the transmitter/receiver and the mouse(small red on bottom). Turn off the mouse. Plug in the USB Tx/Rx and hold down the button. Then press the red button on the mouse and hold for one second. Do this until the rapidly flashing light on the Tx/Rx slows down. The unit's frequencies are then encoded/decode and can communicate.
