Seems like you may need to refill the lamps with coolant or your convergence path has interference. Remove the back cover and see if any coolant has leaked on the circuit boards which may be the reason there's no response from your remote in certain applications...

get back to me on this when you have some time.....

SOURCE: TV appears blurry, and when using the remote to

It sounds like you're describing a problem with the convergence being out of adjustment. You have lost the power supply to the convergence amplifier, therefore the microprocessor isn't detecting that the circuit exists, and isn't offering it as a choice in the adjustment menu. There can be LOTS of reasons why that is, but none of them are one that you can repair sucessfully or safely. The problem is definately a power supply related issue that you should have a professional repair.
Good luck.

Adjusting the Color Temperature

Color temperature refers to how red (warm) or blue (cool) the color palette is. This control helps you to adjust the color settings on your TV. You can change the color settings by following these steps:

- Using the TV remote, select settings and look for a menu item labelled video or picture.
- Select Color Temperature. A slider should appear that allows you to slide between cool and warm colors. The colors might also be labelled red or blue.
- Slide the settings away from red/warm and towards blue/cool using the remote control. You can leave the slider at the point where the color is most pleasing to you.

I have a problem in my BPL TV(FHR-21) it showing a green color

How to Fix a TV When the Screen Is Green

A TV is calibrated by the factory to provide a "standard" picture that attempts to appeal to the vast number of buyers who take the set home. To adjust a TV picture that is too green, you must first enter the hidden "service menu" that technicians use. Adjusting the colors to remove the green cast will save you the cost that would otherwise be incurred from a TV technician coming to your home. No special tools are needed, nor any expertise in how the TV works.

Press the power button on the remote of a TV whose picture is too green in order to turn it on.

Press and hold down the "Menu" key until the manufacturer's logo appears on the screen. This could take up to a minute or more. Release the "Menu" key when the logo appears.

Immediately press the "9," "8," "7" and "6" keys in this order. Press the "Enter" button on the remote to enter the "Service Menu" screen.

Press the "Menu" button to go to the second of the two "Service Menu" screens. Press down on the "Down" arrow until you highlight "Color Calibration." Press the "Enter" button to enter the "Color Calibration" screen.

Select one of the color bars on the screen. Adjust the color by changing the values of the color bar by pressing left and right on the "left" and "right" arrows on the remote. Repeat this procedure with the other color bars as well. Stop adjusting the colors when the green cast is no longer present.

Press and hold the "Power" button on the remote to exit the "Service Menu" and save the adjustments you have made. Turn the TV off.

Projection lights

You need to take the Toshiba remote that came with the machine and go into a menu area that deals with convergence. Here's what the manual says:

This TV used 3 separate TV tubes, red, green, and blue. The R, G, and B images are pojected onto the screen wheree they converge to form a full-color picture. You can see a clear picture only when the three images converge correctly. Corvergence my drift over time, or if yo move the TV. I you can see clear images on your TV screen skip this procedure.

Make this adjustment only after the TV as been on for at least 30 minutes.

Press the TOUCH FOCUS (auto convergence) button on the front of the TV at the bottom.
The TV will enter into the convergence mode and adjust the converge automatically (that's what it says.)

TO ADJUST IT MANUALLY:

Press MENU, and the press < or > until the PICTURE menu appears.
Then press UP or DOWN to highlight CONVERGENCE.
Press < or > to display the Center Convergence menu

There's a lot more the book says, but, I can say from experience that you just go through the different sub areas of this menu and converge each color separately, and bingo, it's fixed.

Good luck.
