Where would I get an inline pressure regulator for my refrigerator. My refrigerator model #FRS23K5CQ2 started leaking out of my icemaker cartridge compartment into my front door shelf. one of the solutions said that if your water pressure is too high for the shut off valve in the icemaker. I noticed that the city was going around to all the houses and did something to our water lines and two days later my refrigerator was leaking so i think that I have the same problem. I stopped at Sears where I bought my appliance but they didn't have that part so I'm not sure where I can get it. I want to install in between the city pressure and the icemaker only. Thank-you, Jayne

I have had the same problem, and can't fix it at the refrigerator. You need an presure reglator or bladder on your hot water heater. when you have to much pressure it usually starts causeing problems at the hot water heater with leaks and works its way down in other areas of the house. We put a regulator at our water meter at first and it did not help.. if it is leaking at your fidge, you may want to check other appliances.
Hope this helps

SOURCE: Water leaking from left side ice/water dispenser

If you describe a constant flow of water from the ice maker then the solenoid valve is either leaking by when it's upposed to be off or the motor module is stuck in the "fill" position. If it was stuck in fill you would be getting a LOT of water all the time so if you only have a trickle then the solenoid valve may be letting water leak by it. The diagram here shows the parts for a better idea of what you may need to look at (and where it's at). http://www.partselect.com/Schematics/Frigidaire/SZGBPCQH.gif

I found that I have the same problem this morning. Has anyone found out how to correct it or did you have to call for service? Did they fix it?

SOURCE: icemaker

Do you hear it trying to draw water into the ice tray? If so, there might be an internal problem you can't fix yourself. especially since the fridge is dispencing water. Is the arm inside the ice maker pushe down? This is what tells the ice maker to fill and make the ice.

Let me know if this helps.

GE model GTS22KCMBRBB. Icemaker doesn't fill entirely, small cubes are produced and ejected all over freezer. Now leaking water from back of refrigerator where water line enters icemaker.

Refrigerator Leaking From Icemaker
If it's leaking from inside the freezer then it's coming from the icemaker or the drain. Lets start with the icemaker. If it's the icemaker there will likely be an ice hanging from the icemaker or just a big block of ice in the ice bin. In any case, it will be obvious.
There are a few reasons this will happen: one is the icemaker will stop turning when it gets to the fill cycle. This will happen when the gears in the icemaker break. On GE icemakers that were made before the year 2000, you can see the gears by taking off the cover on the front of the icemaker. However, if the small gear is broke you can't buy it as far as I know. I have been taking them off of junk icemakers for years. So this part may be hard to find. But if the big gear is broke replace it. Another reason icemakers leak is the fill tube is stopped up and I already discussed this earlier (replace water valve and clean out tube).
Another reason icemakers leak is that the water comes in too fast so it over fills the first cube mold. When this happens you will get a few drops of water when it fills. To fix this you have to take the icemaker out and remove the piece on the side of the icemaker. I don't know the name of it so for this we'll call it cube separator because that's what it does (most of them just snap off others have a screws). Now take silicone (RTV) and put a small amount around the first cube mold only under the cube separator. Now reinstall the cube separator and wipe off excess silicone and it shouldn't leak anymore.
Another reason that icemakers leak is that the refrigerator water valve sticks after the icemaker goes out of the fill cycle. When this happens the valve stays on and the icemaker keeps on turning, in which case, replace the refrigerator water valve.

Water coming out of ice maker frigidaire ffhs2622msya

If you have a Frigidaire refrigerator with an icemaker, you may notice that water leaks from the icemaker from time to time. There are several reasons why this occurs, ranging from simple fixes to ones that are more complex. Once you notice leaking water, running through a quick checklist determines the problem, so that you can fix it.
Plastic Tubing Water Supply ConnectionsNo matter the type connection material used, it must be tight and secure so that no water leaks out. Check every place where a pipe connects to the appliance. Make sure the connection is tight and that there are no leaks. Ensure that the water supply valve is turned on completely. As you check each connection, watch that there are no drips. Tighten them if you catch any possible issue, as this could solve your problem.Clogged Condensation DrainWater can appear leaking from the icemaker when it is actually caused by a clogged condensation drain. The automatic defrost system occasionally turns on, melting any frost from the cooling coils. The resulting water falls into a drain sending it to a pan to evaporate. However, if ice from the icemaker makes it into this drain, it can clog it, and the water accumulates in either the fresh-food compartment or the bottom of the freezer in a side-by-side model. In a side-by-side with an icemaker, the water appears to be coming from the icemaker. Check the drain and clear it if there is a clog.

Ice Maker ValveIn Frigidaire models with an icemaker, a valve regulates the amount of water in the icemaker. If this valve malfunctions, a leak can result. The valve directs the water into cube molds. When obstructed by mineral deposits, the water sprays out of the molds. The water drips down and pools at the bottom of the freezer and onto the floor outside of the unit. Cleaning out the screen located at the end of the valve solves this problem.

Ice machine works and indicate high pressure

Your city pressure may be running higher than the refrigerator expects. There are inline water pressure regulators you can put in between your supply valve and refrigerator line.

My Kenmore side by side refrigerator model 106.5686*601 is leaking water from the ice maker inside the freezer.

Icemaker leaks are common and cannot always be solved. May need a new Icemaker. Ofter you can obtain a kit from Lowes (use a Whirlpool kit.)

ICE DISPENSER

Dmuehr,

Are you sure it is a leak. Is the solenoid actually cutting off BEFORE the tray is full of water? If not, it is not a leak. The filling time for the icemaker water tray (where the ice freezes) varies depending on the local water pressure. With higher pressure, the tray may overfill. Your icemaker motor module timer may be set too long for your specific water pressure, so that the tray overfills. There is an adjustment on the module for shorter or longer fill time. You will need to remove the icemaker (3 screws probably) and reset the timer. It may take 2 or 3 tries to get it so the trays are about 80 to 90% full.

Fridge leak by water filter Fridgidaire

Hello, sounds like the o-ring for the housing that the filter goes into was damaged. You can get a replacement o-ring from your locale appliance parts wholesaler/dealer - OR if you have a really good locale "Hardware" store - remove the o-ring from the male part of the housing that stays in your fridge (pinch it between you fingers around the diameter and you should be able to get it out). They should be able to match it for you - If I recall it is a standard size. If you cannot find one right away you may be able to get it to stop leaking temporarily by getting some Sillicone O-Ring GREASE and applying it to the o-ring. This may stop the leak but I would still replace the oring when you can. Good Luck Dr. Know
