More than likely your t.v has bad capacitors that power up the light bulbs that light up the screen. I had the same problem with a similar Polaroid t.v. and replaced two bad capacitors and that solved the problem. Take the back off of the t.v. and look for capacitors that are bulged at the top. The capacitors have the model number on the side. I found replacement capacitors at www.digikey.com for a very low price. Hello, it may have a "back lite" issue, whether in the power supply that supplies the voltage to the back lite board or the back lite board it self. that's a common issue with these sets....tks....Terry

Check for loose contacts in power outlet, RC cable, jack and socket. Change input device to some other like a DVD player. Switch off TV, switch off power, remove plug and wait for 48 hours and retry. If problem persists, call in a qualified service technician.

Hello Edwin Ortiz---My tv had the red blinking light on the power board and i found a tiny 3amp subminiture fuse listed as F2 on the printed board. It fooled me because it did not look like any fuse i've ever seen. Anyhow the fuse was open and the problem was the two transistor listed as Q6 and Q7 on the power board.The transistors are a brand from fairchild with a part # FQPF9N50CF . They cost $1.60 each and i got them from Mouser Electronics out of texas (www.mouser.com )

On power board check F2 minifuse and transistors Q6 and Q7---make sure that you use so heat sink compound on the new transistors or they wont last long. You can reach me at [email protected] for more detail on how to fix. good luck--jim--

Your inverter boards need to be tested and serviced, these are circuits designed to control the light behind the LCD glass panel. It could also be the power supply not feeding 24volts too the inverter circuits. In that case the power board would need servicing.

Take it back if its under warranty if not get it serviced at your local repair center..
