Same problem here. Bracket on the bottom of the motor is rubbing the floor of the washer. Suppose to be a kit from available to repair what is probably a sagging apron. Look up this part #WH49X10065 and/or check out this website http://www.appliance-repair-it.com/washer-repair.html
What you do is get a putty knife and stick it between the front panel and top. You are gonna remove the front panel not the top! Then you can easily see how to get to that pump. The pump probably has something in it. I recently found a tennis shoe string in one. Here is your repair manual: GE Topslosher Tech Manual
