Ecosmart loud during spin cycle

Our Ecosmart recently became very loud during the spin cycle -- almost sounds like a bad bearing? Still completes the cycle and clothes seems as dry as usual, just very loud during the high-speed spin.

Having exactly the same problem, I am going to change the bearing to see if that fixes it. I take it that you have fixed your problem by now so this is just for reference.

My majestic sounds exactly the same on the spin cycle and I wondered what the problem was. Is your unit still under warranty? If so, call the customer service line and get a repair started. I am a firm believer in warranty work on products I have purchased. WE pay hard earned cold cash on our consumer products and WE should be taken care of properly.

Good luck and please let us know what the solution was to your problem.

Motor or bearing sounds bad, how do you replace it

You have to unscrew certain body areas to get into the motor area depending on the make and the first thing I would check is see if the belt is shot. A bad belt will make noises as well as cause slipping. If the belt is ok check the shafts and see if there is play like movement if you push up or down . If it's the motor you may have to replace or take it to a repair shop if you don't understand how to do it. It does take some work to change a bearing

Are there bearings for the drum for the LG1812? It became very loud during the high speed spin and there is play between the tub and the tub enclosure.

Loud rubbling during the spin cycle would definately indicate that the bearings have failed. Bearings can be replaced, and can be found online as repairclinic.com, but it is rather difficult job if you are not mechancally inclined.

Loud noise during washing/rinsing cycles

I just replaced the bearings on my Front loader Maytag MAH5500B, as it sounded like a freight train during the spin cycle. The bearing replacement fixed the train problem.

NEW PROBLEM NOW: It's been about a month now since the bearing job and now something is clicking/binding when you spin the back belt wheel. I have taken the belt off and carefully move the wheel and I still get this clicking noise. It sounds as if someone is hitting the plastic drum that the tub is surrounded by. I really doubt it's the bearings this soon, as the sound is not the same! No leaks or metal shavings to speak of or rubbing of the belt wheel.

Seems like it's more noticeable during the wash/rinse cycles then the spin.

Can anyone help.???

Loud noise during spin cycle

this is my experience repairing the maytag washer Atlantis mav series 9750 aww, I had to replace the spin bearing since it was making a jet engine noise when it was spinning out the water. its not an easy job for my 1st time taking this machine apart, you literally take it all apart to get to this bearing, but now I can show how to do it with pictures making it easier for you to do it. even if you have to replace something other than the spin bearing, this how to tutorial will show you how to get to most of the parts in this machine
