How to reset to factory specs??

I can't find how to reset my Lumix DMC_TZ1 to factory specs.

  • Anonymous Mar 23, 2008

My camera has been connected to a computer with virus "bittorent", and that has probably messed up the internal programming. It does not want to connect to a computer, even not when the setting for USB are set to PC.

I have tried to reset as explained at the troubleshooting (go to reset and on both options pess 'yes', but no change; there is no connection to PC.

Enter the SETUP menu and select RESET. You'll be prompted to reset two sections. Answer YES to both and everything that can be set to default will go back to the factory default state.

SOURCE: Lumix DMC-TZ1 says Please turn

I had the same problem. I turned on and off several times with the same message and issue. It appears to be a lens issue. I hit it several times firmly on the bottom with my hand while on and must have jarred something loose because it started to function again. Whew!!!!!!!

SOURCE: Lumix DMC-FX01 Buttons not working

Remove the card and battery. Clean the battery contacts inside camera with a cotton swab lightly dampened with rubbing alcohol. Be sure battery is charged. Press all buttons on camera. Insert card and then the battery. See if it works. If you can now get into the setup menu, you can do a reset from the menu.

Try formatting the new card in the camera. Also, download any pics from the old card using a card reader and then, format it in the camera.

Need replacement installation CD (Mac version) for Lumix DMC-TZ1

The easiest way to download your pics to a Mac is to use a card reader. You can transfer the pics to a folder you create on your desktop and view them from there or import them to iphoto.

How big of a memory card can I use in my panasonic lumix DMC-TZ1 camera? 2gbs , 4gbs or 8 gbs. thank you from Douglas James [email protected]

Doug,

The Panasonic DMC-TZ1 camera supports SDHC cards. SDHC is a "Secure Digital High Capacity" memory card, and the spec says an SDHC capable device can use any SDHC card - so, you can go 16GB, 32GB or more - limited only by how much money you want to spend.

Enjoy your camera!
