Check the hdmi out with another device that takes hdmi, the hdmi system works on its own from the av board side of the av board. has its own settings. then main board will have a large chip on the board and this is the hdmi control chip. these can go on there own and not afect any other part of the tv

I use a Toshiba DVD Player SD-6100 and had the same problem when using a HDMI cable. The ILO TV kept saying no signal. I don't know how to make the PS3 change into sending the HDMI signal, I'm sure though that is is similar as to the dvd player simply changing it in a menu. All I had to do was use a component cable to access the dvd player menu and from there changed the video out signal to hdmi, thus sending a signal to the frikkin tv. It all works now.
The Ps3 should have a similar menu to select video signal output. Try accessing it using a previously working cable, then once changed, switch on the tv back to hdmi input and see if it worked.
Hope this helps
Cheers

I Believe You Can Go To Channel 2 And Right Below Those Channels Are The 3 Video Channels Turn On Your Dvd Player And Go Through Them. If That Doesn't Work Try Looking At The Buttons On Your Tv For A Tv Video. Make Sure You Dont Have A Tv Video Button On Your Remote If You Do Then Just Click It Till You Find The Appropriate Video Channel.
