Our electric panel has been acting up. First we couldn't turn it off, so had to unplug it. Now, we can't turn it on. Does anyone know what the issue may be? LG doesn't even make this model anymore and it is only a couple years old. HELP!

When I plug in the unit, I hear a beep but there is nothing on the display and the unit will not run. This unit is only one year old. I have removed all the panels except the power board, which I cannot get off. When I plug in the unit, I hear a beep but there is nothing on the display and the unit will not run. This is the second unit I have had in 4 months and I have the same problem with the control panel. The only buttons that work, on both the units, are the 2 hour / 4 hour buttons.

It sounds like there is an issue with the controller board. LG has a 5 year warranty on these models. You may want to contact them first instead of opening it up because it could void the warranty. My recommendation is to have this serviced if it is under warranty. They usually will tell you of a service center nearby which will service it free of charge since it is under warranty. If you do not live near a service center they may ship you a replacement and you send your old dehumidifier back to them. Make sure you have your reciept when you contact them so they can verify it is under 5 years old.

if power is applied then display should show current room humidity , if set is pressed then display should show current set point for desired room humidity , this has to be less than first display otherwise the control will think room has acheeved desired setpoint and shut off , the one of these i had seemd to have an overly sensative collection bucket full sensor and had to be "just right" for unit to run
To figure out what Code F2 is, I took a look at the Owners Manual for the Model # AD70USS, Strangely, the Owners Manual doesn't list an F2 Code or any codes for that matter. Because that model number humidifier, does not have an LED screen.
Never the less, to reset your unit using an alternate method. Turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF and unplug the unit from the wall outlet. Wait 12 - 15 minutes before plugging it back in. Then turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON and the dehumidifier should have reset itself. If it doesn't check the positioning of the water bucket, to make sure it's contacting the safety switch. Eventhough, you're using a drain home, it's still important.
leds don;t dim as they get old they are either on or off and leds have a life span of around 20 years if driven with the wright voltage.it will a the plastic cover that covers the display or b the voltage to the leds in not wright.
Check the coils at the back of the dehumidifier to see if there is any frost buildup on it. If there is, turn off the machine for a while until the room warms up and melts off the frost. The machine works by condensing the moisture in the air over these coils, so if the coils are frosted over, or are not cold enough, the moisture cannot condense. If the coils are not cold enough, you may want to get it refilled with refrigerant. You will need to take it in for servicing in this case.
Hope that helps! Should you have any further questions,

Hi, There are many reasons for a dehumidifier to not work or collect water. Here is a tip that I wrote to help people to figure out what is going wrong with their dehumidifier.
