Need help with Control Panel lights...some work, others don't. Trying to start wash, and when you press the Normal wash, it doesn't light up. The cancel light keeps coming on when "start" is pressed.
It seems as thought the "touch" sensors are bad..any suggestions??

The problem is the control panel. You may have to shut the power off for a few seconds to reset the control board, then check to see if it works. If not, the control board has a break in the wiring or the keypad is no good.
I have Kitchen Aid model KUDIo2IRBS which had the same problem of blinking lights on the control panel. I took off the control panel by unscrewing the top screws. Then I took out the control circuit board which just snaps out. I disconnected the tape wire connection (it looks like duct tape) and cleaned the connecting pins by simply blowing on them. After putting everything back together it worked!
Prob could have achieved the same outcome simply by disconnecting the power to the machine, waiting 10 secs. & hooking power back up..That should reset your machine. Anywho..Glad you got it working.

Control panel lights go on but nothing happening

first thing to try is to disconnect power for 15 minutes and then try again if goes into default again take off bottom panel and behind the black trim will be a tech sheet see if it gives yousome diagonostics sounds like it may be the computer if the power off and on doesnt make it work,.

Hi To resolve the issue try pressing this reset sequence-- Heat
Dry - Normal - Heat Dry - Normal or High Temp - Air Dry - High Temp - Air Dry
or Hi Temp Scrub, energy saver dry, Hi Temp Scrub, energy saver dry. Now let
the unit run for 2-3 minutes and then you press the Cancel/Drain button and
allow it to completely drain and reset. Daniel
If this doesn't work then it's an issue with the wash pump not pumping the
water past the heater efficiently or due to lack of water to heat. Please make
sure that heater is not open circuited and is heating the water efficiently.
You'll have to check the heater using a multimeter; the meter should read
between 3000 to 3300 ohms (Use multimeter on Rx1 ohm setting). If heater is
fine then make sure water pressure is optimum and fill valve is working fine.

about the only thing to try would be to remove the inner door panel to get to the control bd then you will see a mylar ribbon looks like a fat piece of scotch tape pull up on the plastic connector that holds it in and pull the ribbon out then get a clean pencil eraser and gently clean the ribbon and put it back in dont forget to push the locking tab back down then try it again and let me know
