When I Play wii Sports and Penguin Surfing on Mario Galaxy, the remote seems to disapear...It dosen't matter how I swing the remote, the wii does nothing...
The strange thing is that it works the rest of the time, even when I am playing different stages on Mario Galaxy or Tomb Raider... I've read a solution about spanking the remote... but that dose not seem to be serious...
Thank you very much!!! I tried all of it, but after all, I smashed gently my Wii remote against a table. I don`t know what happened, but it is working!!! Thank you very much!!! Double check the sensor position is set for the top of the tv if that is where you have it mounted or set for the bottom if sensor is there. Also you can try calibrating the remote in the set up portion of the main menu. Not the main menu of the game this is in the Wii main menu, I think the activation utton on screen is either in the lower left or right when you are on the start up screen. I'm at work now and my system is at home so I can't tell that from memmory right now. Hope that helps. Jay
Cooool, I'll have to add that to my toolbox! Last time that was an actual repair technique it involved tv sets and radios that had tubes, worked too! later, JayCooool, I'll have to add that to my toolbox! Mario isn't supposed to spin at first, he gains a star friend that enables him to spin. To spin, just shake the remote from side to side. If you have gotten the star and he still doesn't spin, make sure your batteries in the remote aren't too low or try resetting your console.
If you're wii remote works as a pointer but not when swinging it then it is a problem with the accelerometer inside the wii remote and not the infra red bit on the end. Good news is its usually just stuck as mine was. Nintendo recommend turning the remote upside down and giving it a few taps on the palm of your hand. Worked on mine and saved me £30 as i was about to buy a new one.

@ Slivic22 Some games does not use Sensor Bar pointing because they play with motion/accelerometer only. After you select the number of sets on Wii Sports Tennis, there is no Sensor Bar pointing except for Pause menu. That's because you Swing the remote like a racket.
try resyncing the second wii remote for a second player. By using the red button on the wii and the wii remote. I had this problem when i brought my wii remotes to my friends birthday party to play mario party 8.
