C0204 - Tray 2 Elevator failure - The Lift-Up Sensor is not blocked even after the lapse of a given period of time after the lifting motion has been started.
1. Turn OFF the Main Power Switch.
2. Turn Main Power Switch
ON while pressing the Utility/Counter key.
3. Touch [Trouble
Reset].
4. Check to make sure that [OK] is displayed and the
it has been reset.
5. After turning off the Main Power
Switch, turn it on again more than 10 seconds after and check if the machine
starts correctly.

This error code means that tray 2 lift has failed take all the paper out of the paper tray and check to see if some of it is folded under or up the side of the stack . the error code is reset by leaving the machine on and opening then closing the front door. if the paper is loaded correctly and the machine shows the error code again then probably the lift sensor will have to be replaced.
Thanks to Chip Reset - I had cleared all the paper trapped above Tray 2 (where the trouble was), but the printer still wouldn't recognize it, kept telling me it had to disable Tray 2 or it wouldn't work...until I found the solution, above. NOTE THAT THE "MAIN POWER SWITCH" must be turned off and - 10 seconds or more later - back on. In my case, I just unplugged the machine and plugged it back in (after following Chip's recommendation above). Tray 2 works fine again - GRACIAS! MERCI!
