I still can't get my Fn key to unlock. I've tried everything suggested here and by your associate to uninstall keyboard & reinstall. I have my laptop keyboard hooked up to another keyboard and it is working fine.

Part numbers may be positioned on your Acer TravelMate 2354LM Cooling FAN or you can look at user's manual. A way to pay attention to compatibility is always to look at the listing from the "Fits the next model." Their email list gives you the product model that could be compatible with the List item. The only way to check if this replacement part is useful for you or you cannot, your product's Part Numberhave to become the identical with his part number. Whether or not it's on the list, then it will likely be compatible. (Your Deivice Model number is just not good enough to verify correct product). Part numbers might be situated on your Compaq Presario M2007AP Power Jack or you can look at user's manual

Wireless keyboard quit

Assuming you have replaced the batteries: With the keyboard plugged in, go into the Device Manager, and uninstall the keyboard. When it disappears from the list, unplug it. If you installed any software that came with it, uninstall that software. Reboot. Re-install by following the directions that were included, or if you don't wish to use the software, just plug it in, and let windows detect it and reinstall the drivers. Hope this helps.

I have an Asus laptop Pro50G - the keyboard has numbers associated with certain letters e.g. J = 1 when using the function key. this morning after booting up, When I press these keys, instead of getting...

If there is a key on your keyboard that has the Fn key inside a lock icon, press Fn and that key and see if that unlocks the Fn key. You can also try pressing it normally, since your Fn key seems to have its own Fn-lock kind of setting.

If you dont have that kind of a key on your keyboard, this could be caused by an option in the BIOS. When booting up press the F2 key or whichever key your computer uses to open the BIOS. Once in the BIOS, look for an option that allows you to change the Fn key from a hotkey to something else, such as legacy.

Msi m607 fn key not working

im not sure what the fn key is but
try blowing out all of the dust from your keyboard using a fine air blower from an air compressor making VERY sure there is no MOISTURE in the lines.
dust causes static which causes lots of problems with a computer and its parts
or if this does not fix the problem
Click start control panel keyboard you can change your settings there
or you might have uninstall the keyboard then restart your computer then reinstall it and its drivers
click start control panel keyboard hardware then properties you hould see driver details and have options to,update driver, roll back driver, uninstall
if your computer came with a motherboard disc the drivers could be on it
diconnect the keyboard then reconnect it then reinstall the driver
make sure the lead has a secure seating if applicable or the usb device
hope this helps

I type j and it comes out 1. can't fix.

Try this.

Press the Start key + R.

type osk in that box and hit enter

On this keyboard, try toggling numlock scrolllock and capslock a few times. does it help?

I think your numlock might be stuck on and your keyboard "num lock" key isnt working

The functions key don't work in my toshiba

The function keys may be locked.....There may be a sequence of key strokes that will unlock it. In this case the sequence may be .....FN + F11, if that does not work try Fn + Num Lock. Below is the user guide for that model, it is a self installer.
