HP Compaq nx7300

So I went to shut my Laptop down and after 3min. or so the screen was still "Saving My Settings", I proceeded to Hit the Power off button. The screen went black but the power light stayed on and the volume on/off light came on, and a fan came on. Now no matter what I do, I cannot turn it completely off, or get it to start up again.
Please help me if you can...

I have a hp nx7300 and i cant not log in lost password. Any suggestions can not reinstall XP cuz get message that there is no hard drive installed on computer please help

The only data you would lose is any open applications that you were working on at the time that this happened that wasn't saved. Anything you already saved will be fine.

By removing your battery you are not going to loss your data
so you can do it
but i think you should try this battery by abstract this battery first and than clean that chep by air and reconnect your battery you will find the solution
