Tv will not turn on. I bought a new power cord

The connector on the im600 is broken. It cannot be repaired economically.

On and off commands come from the main board, if it won't shut off you need a new board

Likely not related but HDMI does not like being connected if either unit is plugged in or powered up.

As to the TV let me know the brand and model number and what if any lights at all come on when you plug it in etc.

I think unless it has a power converter...the straight plug should work...think about it...they didnt have to pay to get rid of it.

Try to open the back cover of your TV.Then check the fuse of your TV near the out let cord of your tv.check if the fuse is blowned or open.Replace new fuse with the same ampere.Then power on again the tv.

Return it where u bought it and get a new tv replacement,tv have power supply board issues.That the board where the tv power a/c cord plug into it.Or not possible trade in for another new tv,call Sylvania for warrenty service tv repair fix.

the power unit probably got damaged also try another tv and look for your proof of purchase you mite still get it replased for free either from the store you bought from or SONY.

I thought you were going to take out the power supply board and send it out for an overhaul?
