Front glass window seems loose

Hi,
I have had my washer and dryer for almost one year. Over the past few weeks, the washer has been making a rattling noise during the spin cycle. When I push on the glass window, the noise stops. It seems as though the glass window on the washer is not as tight as it is on the dryer (it can be pushed in a bit on the washer but it does not move on the dryer). Any idea how I can tighten this or should I call for service?
Thanks!

When the machine is spinning, place your hand gently against the glass and check for a vibration. Do not push on the glass.
This is to check and see if the vibration is from the door or from somewhere else.

The front door comes apart. Disassemble the door and check the seal where the glass sits. If this seal is worn or out of place it will allow the glass to rattle against the rear panel. When the machine is spinning, place your hand gently against the glass and check for a vibration. Do not push on the glass

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

Awful noise that sounds like its out off balance comes when the belt is either broken or worn out and needs replacement. If you want to do this yourself then you can check this video on youtube:

I have a frigidaire stackable washer/dryer model number FEx831cs0. The washer is working just find but the dryer for a few weeks has been making the worst screeching sounding in the world. I am not sure if...

A loose belt often makes a squeak that pulsates with the clothes hitting the paddles in the drum. It's probably the upper drum glide or rear bearing. If it's a constant screech coming from the front, it's probably the glide. If the noise seems to be in the back, suspect the bearing. You might check for a sock or something small that is stuck somewhere between the drum and the dryer.

Neither are very difficult to repair.

All lights flash when started

try a different socket and try not to use extension leads if the lights continue to flash do not worry for now . the balance problem could be uneven load . or get some one to remove top and check support springson top and dampers at bottom are still in place . and concrete weights are not loose .

One says the lid switchs are not working in tandem with each other. Another says the circuit board is bad. I say it is because it is a Maytag and built with an obsolete ethical plan for generating profit.

Have a local tecnician check it out.

Electric Maytag Neptune Dryer - rattling noise

Your probably going to have to remove the rear panel and take a look to see what is causing the noise.
Disconnect the power cord and exhaust tube, remove the rear panel and check for anything loose.
You can also pop the lid and fold it back to inspect the top of the tub and belt. Roll the drum all the way around and inspect the belt for "chunks" missing.
If you include your model number, I can send you a web site that will show you an exploded view of the dryer.

Washer makes loud rattling noise when spinning

first check to make is to be sure machine is level using a 2ft level ck level side to side and front to rear see if level if not adjust either by adjusting level legs on bottom of machine or using wooden door shims available @ building supply store , if you don't have level use two small clear water glasses with a exact amount of water in each put a line on each glass measure with rule and make sure line is in exactly same spot on each glass fill to line and place one on rear of machine and one on front level till lines match then repeat process side to side

Burning smell and loose drum

If it is really noisey when it spins then this can only mean one thing.... the drum bearing are shot, its a complete strip down job, not an easy job for a beginer. Sorry

No power??

It's more than likely its the door lock, if not check the timer contacts on the top front connection block, if they have blown it will need a timer & door lock
