Memory card says ''not formatted''

1. Do not save any new file to memory card.
2. Connect your card to computer. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in My Computer.
3. Download recovery software, recommended one is this photo recovery (simply because i was using it and it worked)

4. Install and open the photo recovery program, select your memory drive, and click 'Start' button to start scanning process which will find your deleted photos.

Did you use the phone to format the card before transferring files onto it? Sometimes the phone has to format it in order to be able to read it. Keep in mind refomatting the card will erase all of the data on it so back it up before give this a shot. good luck!

Is your memory card newly purchased? if so just format it. You can do it through your phone or you can format it from your PC using card reader. And remember, when you format the card, select the Fat format not the Fat32 file format, you can also quick format it. If you can do it, let me just brief up the steps here. To format from your phone, open the memory card and when your prompt to format it select "yes" or "ok" and it'll format automatically. If you are formatting it from your pc, Right click on the Memory Card drive and select format and follow the instructions by selecting the File format as Fat.
If you have important data, that'll be more complicated. Put your memory card in the phone and see whether it can be opened or not, if so connect the phone with the card to your pc and backup the files. If you can't open it, then you should format, but do it with the Quick Format and restore your data before you make any changes to your memory card. i had the same problem.

it's possibly because when you uploaded your files to your memory card, they weren't the right file type.
plug your memory card back into your computer, open the folder, right click on a file and go to properties.
if it isn't an mp3 type file, it will not play on most phones.

also, make sure you format the card before you put music on it.
BE CAREFUL. formatting the memory card will erase all of your data.

try to insert your memory card to other mobile unit bt if it has a same problem you have a corrupted card.
no other choice is to change it.

This issue occurs if the Files were in Read Only mode.

Please connect the Memory card to computer through data cabled or Memory Card Reader.

Select Music Files Folder Right click on it and Uncheck Hidden and Read Only then select Archive. Click on Apply and OK.

Now insert Memory Card then try to play if your issue should resolve.

Please answer below if this issue still persists.
Music file type either MP3 or any and its size.

Insert your memory card into your computer's reader if you have one. If not, you can purchase a multi-format USB Memory Card reader from Amazon.com or Buy.com

2 Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.

3 Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.

4 In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.

5 Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.

6 Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.

maybe you are using 256mb mmc or up.it is a common problem with n gage, it is not supported with a higher mb(because when it was made then, no 512mb and up available.).you can still open your fone without mmc,im sure it will work well..try to format your mmc using other nokia fone.(computer cannot do that). and dont go over the limit of your mmc.(man, do not install King of Fighters, your fone will not start..hope it helps.
