Camera suddenly stopped responding, maked grating noise and shows HI in window. wil not turn off.

Its just a software complaint take ur set to service center. they wil re install the software for u. Before taking your system to service center ,U can switch it off or on so that the problem might get solved.

Hi Most proberly the batery is shot. It wil be fully charged but it does not have "the amps" in this case miliamps to do the job. Pushing out the lens uses alot of the amps "miliamps" and the fact that it can't even rectract the lens back is a sure sign. If possible take the camera to a digital shop and test it with a known good batery!

The best solution is to take it to Best Buy and have them look at it. The Kodak camera could still be under warranty.
