First make sure the battery has been put in the right way round as this camera allows the battery to go in 2 ways which is a bad design fault on Kodak's part.
Does the charging light come on. if it does the battery is charging is it plugged into a usb hub if so the camera will not charge. it has to be connect to the computers usb port directly.also some computers have a built in usb hub witch cause this to happen. try using the usb plugs in the back they are diffrent addresses. also check you cable for any damage. I thing about USB is they are touchy pains. I had to fully reload my computer twice because of a USB problem best thing to do is get a seperate charger for your battery and a memory card reader to transfer your pictures.

my refuses to charge when i plug it in, too.
it lights up green, then flashes red for two seconds and goes out.
Mine does not charge either, when I put it into my laptop or PC. Because of this problem, I have to buy the additional charger that you can get at stores. Oh yeah, and the pics dont upload either? Im not sure why. . .
i don't know where to plug it into the computer
Does not charge in USB port. Will not charge on USB port or charger at Radio Shack. They suggested buying a new battery but they are expensive. Maggie
