Very similar to the Motorola
The Rino 650 and 655t includes a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. If the battery is not charging, ensure the battery is secure and the device is connected via the included A/C charger. The battery will not charge when connected via USB cable.
"Wondering if an external hard drive will draw too much power/amps thru the TV's USB."
Yes, it probably would, so you are better off using a self-powered (one that you plug in to a wall outlet) drive.
And even if you got it running, it might crash halfway through a movie or something. But, for sheets & giggles, if you have all of the data that is on the 2.5" backed up somewhere else, give the 2.5" a try.
Recharging the battery is done by connecting the nuvi to a vehicle power cable in the car through the vehicle power accessory outlet or cigarette lighter. The unit can also be charged via a powered USB port off your computer via the USB power/data cable or an AC power adapter through the USB power/data cable.
The unit will take a very slow charge via your computer. I tell most people no it doesnt charge VIA your PC just because it takes soooo long. I recommend getting a new power cable from GPSCity. Just call them up or follow the like to the cable you need.
** This cable is for the Nuvi 200 series GPS units http://www.gpscity.ca/garmin-mini-usb-12v-cigarette-lighter-adapter-for-nuvi-in-web-packaging.html
What you are describing is that there is an issue with the USB charging port on your V3i. Different pins are used when charging via the wall as opposed to via a USB computer port. It really is quite common with the V3i, you can search on the internet to get your port repaired. If you cannot find anyone, feel free to ontact me, outlet3g in the repair directory.
Very few cameras will charge through USB ports. This is only to connect to computer to access pictures. Your camera will not charge via USB. I suggest to many people that using cameras that take AA batteries is the best cameras to buy when traveling. Many camera owner fall victim to different voltage outlets when travelling.
Just replace the case the drive is in. You can get them from stores that sell computer parts like Fry's Electronics. There are many online sources too.
1-connect the blu-ray to your tv via hdmi cable and this will run picture.
2-connect the blu-ray via digital optical cable to the optical input on the bose system. then using your bose menu, (system menu)set your auxillary sound output to digital optical.
when watching dvd thru bluray player select aux on the bose and you're away.
1. Remove all USB devices such as printers, mp3 players etc etc.
2. Remove the power-cable and the battery
3. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds
4. Put the power-cable back in but not the battery and none the USB devices.
5. Turn the computer on
Also check the condition of the USB ports if it doesnt work and the fuse. If this doesnt work then I would recommend a repair.
There have been some reports of iPhone chargers going bad prematurely. The test:
Connect your iPhone to your computer via the USB cable. Does it make a little beeping noise when you connect it, and then charge up? If so, the issue is not with your iPhone or USB cable.
Next, using that same USB cable, connect it to your iPhone charger. Do you get the same connection noise and then does it charge up? If not, the issue is probably with the charger.
Assuming you have a faulty charger, you are still well within your 1 year warranty from Apple. Visit an Apple store (www.apple.com/retail) Genius Bar (make your reservation online before you go, to avoid waiting around), explain the issue and how you tested it out, and they will almost certainly replace the charger for you at no cost.
