Samsung SMH7159 just quit working. It is plugged in, the outlet has power but it does not seem as any power is getting to microwave. Display is blank, no light comes on, no power, but the slide out hood is out and if I try to push it back in, it automatically goes out again. I replaced the fuse but that didn't help. Any suggestions?

SOURCE: MY MICROWAVE WILL NOT DO ANYTHING

I couldn't find those exact trouble codes, but a common problem is when the controller gets damp, either from steam rising from the cooktop or someone spraying cleaner directly on the keypad. Cleaners should always be sprayed on a soft cloth, then wipe the keypad with the cloth. Also, GE / Samsung codes of F1, F2 and F3 may be the same since Samsung makes GE microwaves. Those would mean trouble with the temperature sensor, keypad, or control panel. Assuming your control panel is clean and dry, it may be time to call for service.

SOURCE: MY MICROWAVE WILL NOT DO ANYTHING

I have this Samsung MW 1080 STA for four some years, and lately showed the code A-1 in the display out of nowhere, in the middle of night, or during the day without anybody touching or using it. It'll beep twice, then, go to A-2 and A-3, and back again. When you cancel, it will disappear, but it will come back right away in 2 to 3 seconds. It becomes a headache because I had to unplug it after each use. Any ideas, please?

SOURCE: Samsung Microwave model # SMH7178STD just stopped working.

This is usually caused by either a bad door switch, a loose door switch mount, or a problem on the control panel.

Even though a door switch clicks, it may still be bad inside.

SOURCE: quit working

We had the same problem and fixed it! Try hitting Pause/Cancel button until it shows zero on the display. Then press Kitchen Timer button and input 1:00. Then press start. Our microwave began working after trying that. Hope it works for you!

SOURCE: Samsung MU3250W Shut down

It could have been steam or humidity.

If this is an over the range model, be sure you always use the hood vent exhaust fan when you're cooking on the stove top.

Whether it's a counter top or over the range top, always be aware that the cooling fan is running when it's cooking.

When in doubt feel for air flow through the vents.

Good luck.

Samsung Microwave Oven SMH7159 No Power

The power outage may have been accompanied with a power surge. That can happen with lightning strikes, or if a large inductor (electric motor or equivalent) happened to be on the same power line at the time of the outage. There's a good chance a surge took out the control panel.

Hi I have a Samsung SMH9187 micowave that is dead (no display, light, fan, mirowave).

Sounds like the main fuse blew. It's either near where the power cord enters the cabinet, or behind the control panel (if an over the range unit).

You may also have some type of failure in the high voltage circuit; based on your description of the symptoms.

Grandson came up under it and caused the hinges to not hold the door shut

If the door doesn't work right it is time to buy another microwave. Microwave leaks can be dangerous.

No lights - Acts Like It Has No Power At All

see the diagram and pictorial and proceed with common sense:
1) test the fuse for open or band contact with VOM,see the diagram attached how to do it
2)check the switch door hook or door release button, when they are broken they do not touch the switch, and will NOT start. test for open
see the diagram

Power quite one day it lost power like curcuit broke there is power to the outlet

If there was a power outage, and then your microwave oven never came back on. Then it could be a possible fuse problem. If the circuit breaker had tripped, then after you turned off the cir. brkr. and turned it back on, then everything should've worked fine. Again, I would lean towards a blown fuse in your microwave. Now you're saying there's power to the outlet, and it still won't go on? Then my easy solution would be to plug it into another outlet, and try it again. Your problem could be that plug. After doing everything I just suggested, at any time did you get a digital readout on your time display in the upper right hand corner of the oven. Basically, is there any lights on at all when you're plugged into the wall. If not, then the problem is in the microwave itself! It could be just as simple as a blown fuse, but I would like you to try these other alternatives first. Feel free to contact me again if these don't work. Good Luck, and I hope I've helped you some. Let me know, Jim

The Microwave stopped heating

Probably magnetron failure- needs to go back to the dealers, this is a major job, may be cheaper to replace the oven
