The (magic) chip connects to your IAT (intake air temperature) sensor, you can usually find it by your air filter. I do not recommend using this (as I've said) magic box because it is simply an expensive resistor that will make your car think it is running colder than it is, resulting in hotter running temps and wasted fuel.

Buy the Service Manual for the 1996 Ford F-350, and follow the instructions.

Or, look at all the chips on the firewall -- look under the protective covers, too.

What wires do I hook my performance chip to on my honda odyssey

ask them only they know how to hack cars.
google
Innovation performance chip maker
find them and ask only them.

this hack makes the MAP sensor lie and burn more fuel !
and is silly as can be..
and is a lie, more fuel is never needed. here.

the MAP sensor detects driver doing WOT,and ECU goes open loop
and sets a new fuel table to 14:1 air fuel ratio rich or even 12:1
on all cars USA 1988 up EFI, all do, WOT.
they sell the chip to make money nothing ease.
so there is no power gained just black tip spark plugs
same thing as you move the throttle fast down
the ecu goes to open loop and sets rich burn power mode.
going richer from stock is just wasting expensive fuel.
the only exception is bigger engine or turbo added.
just leave the car stock so others can fix it when it breaks.
why fool your service tech, he will not want to touch a hacked car
or charges you 3 times the rate to do so. and is SAVVY .
also if you go too rich the CAT burns up . oops price one of those?

Does tune sports performance chips really work

In my experience the cheap ones you just add, dont.
the more expensive "tuner" chips will allow you to adjust several different settings, allowing you to find peak performance, and make adjustments for weather conditions, altitude....

Won't idle, runs rough under throttle

Check all of your tune-up parts. (Distributor Cap, Distributor Rotor, Spark Plugs and Spark Plug Wires) Also perform a compression test if no problem is found with the tune-up parts. Check also for vacuum leaks and the Intake Air Control Valve (IAC) for the "won't idle" problem.

Need a pic veiw of 2004 ford f350 6.0L diesel EGR

1st of all when Ford started out with putting "EGR's" on those diesel engines, they rushed it and are nothing less than a pain in the ***! i recommend having an EGR cleaning service performed by your local Ford dealer, i know they charge up the wazoo, but they're the best people to perform the service period.this is a VERY common problem with those engines and that service is "supposed" to be performed every 30K I believe. i dont recommend attempting to remove and service it youself, this WILL only make it worse.

How do you change the glow plugs and relay in a F350 1997

Hello, here is the proceedure. Any questions please ask. Good luck. CAUTION The red-striped wires on the 1994-96 DI Turbo engine carry 115 volts DC. A severe electrical shock may be given. Do not pierce the wires.
  1. Make sure the ignition switch is OFF.
  2. For 1994-96 engines, remove the valve cover.
  3. Disconnect the wire connector from the glow plug.
  4. Using a 10mm deep socket, with enough clearance as to not break or bend the wiring connector, unscrew the glow plug from the manifold.
To install:
  1. Place anti-seize on the threads of the glow plug and screw it into the manifold.
  2. Tighten the glow plug to 12 ft. lbs. (16 Nm).
  3. Plug the wiring connector.
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
  5. For 1994-96 engines, install the valve cover.

Sluggish '96 chev 4x4

id start off with a basic tune up..you never know when u first buy a car when this stuff was lasted checked up on..i would first change the fuel filter if its clogged its really going to slow you down..then i would do and oil change to it and maybe the plugs and wires..check all of the fluid levels especially the transmission fluid..if you want to add horsepower and performance i would put better oil better wires and plugs and maybe a k&n filter instead of a paper one..
