I have a Whirlpool ghw9100lw2 front load washer that only draws water from the hot water inlet, it doesn't matter if is selected for hot, warm or cold. The washer is probably 1.5 to 2 years old.
First make sure the hoses aren't reversed hot on cold or cold on hot next turn off cold water remove the hose from the washer and check to see if the screen on the washer is clogged if not get a bucket turn on cold water and see how strong the water is then let me know what you find dont rate me till we are done

The hot and cold water both have good flow and the intake on the washer is not clogged.
I have the same problem. Both hot and cold water hoses work fine. I set the clothes on a cold wash and it draws from the hot water. I turn off the hot water valve and no cold water goes in at all. What is going on?
I have the same problem and have checked all of the issues above. I have resorted to installing a y-connector on to the cold faucet and a y-hose from this to the hot water faucet and down to the hot water inlet. I adjust the valves at the wall to get the water temp I want - I would really like to know which part on the machine I need to replace
our hot water heater is broken and I have it turned off waiting for a plumber to it. Will the Whirlpool washer run on only cold water?
