Whirlpool ghw9100lw2 front load washer doesn't use both hot and cold

I have a Whirlpool ghw9100lw2 front load washer that only draws water from the hot water inlet, it doesn't matter if is selected for hot, warm or cold. The washer is probably 1.5 to 2 years old.

The hot and cold water both have good flow and the intake on the washer is not clogged.

I have the same problem. Both hot and cold water hoses work fine. I set the clothes on a cold wash and it draws from the hot water. I turn off the hot water valve and no cold water goes in at all. What is going on?

I have the same problem and have checked all of the issues above. I have resorted to installing a y-connector on to the cold faucet and a y-hose from this to the hot water faucet and down to the hot water inlet. I adjust the valves at the wall to get the water temp I want - I would really like to know which part on the machine I need to replace

My front loading washing machine, GHW9100LW2, Serial# CSR2103781 (purchased in July 2004),has started to stop in mid cycle and throw an F 11 signal, and the door will not open. If I cancel the cycle,...

You need to check and replace water fill valve (blue) located on the back where hot water and cold water hoses connected to the washer. It may get stuck due to corrosion in pipe. Part may cost around 35 to 45 dollars. Next item needs to check is Flowmeter (white) connect after water fill valve. When get dirty water cannot get into washer. The water pressure valve is the last thing to check and replace if the problem is not fixed.

Good luck.

The filter on your pump is probably clogged with lint and stuff. You have to remove the bottom front panel, 3 torx screws underneath. The panel will drop and come off. Drain off the excess water from the drain pipe you see. The white filter cover is right in front. Get yourself a good plastic bag to collect water. Unscrew the filter cover and twist the filter out. Clean out all the stuff and put it back in carefully. Check your pump too, comes after the filter.

At Lowes you can purchase foam rubber pads 4"X5" pack of two for $3.50. If walking forward and after cecking level and washer pads are tight, place half of one pad under each of the two front feet. Place the sticky side against washer feet. Solved my problem.
