LG RZ 37LZ55 37 in HDTV LCD Screen Dead

Screen black after a pop sound. Green light comes on when powered up - No picture/no sound then red led comes on.

    Hi Folks i have Lg 37lz55 which has suddenly developed this problem of turning on Green light, no picture no sound, then turning off Red light then back on etc. All the conections are plugged in correctly sky box is turned on etc so has anyone got any ideas. I have taken the back off & discoved that there is a relay which clicks on & off, but i cant find any reason why it does. Any Help would be gr8 Thanks Jason

    Have same problem, no sound, no vision, when plugged to power led is green then after few minutes is switching to standby, please help!

This is likely due to a failed power supply. Replacing the power supply board should solve the problem.

Do you at least get a blue screen? Usually with no picture you get a blue screen. Try hooking up a DVD Player to it and see what you get... Good luck...Keep me posted ..Sincerely HDTV GURU JAY.

If everything checks out on the power supply - Grab a flashlight and shine it on the screen - if you can see a really dark picture you need an inverter board - if you can see no picture I'd target the main board with the input jacks on it. Inspect it for damaged components and get the part number off of the board and google it. see if there are known issues with that part number that have been identified or use www.shopjimmy.com to see if they have a part from a cracked screen tv.

The screen on my LG tv is not showing a picture. it has red and green pixels in the centre of the screen and has sound only.
y-sus board bad but make shure you look at buffers for pop marks there will be small ic.s on each buffer board look for small white pop marks on them but most likely its just the y-sus board

If the power supply outputs are good! Then I would say the back light inverter is bad! If the screen stays black and does not come on.

TV Picture Goes Black
I had the same exact problem.
I removed the bulb and cleaned it. There is a small screen at the top of the bulb and it was covered with dust. Once it was cleaned I replaced the bulb and it solved the problem.
