I have no sound or wifi on my tecra p9000 laptop,any ideas?

Hello,

Firstly, go to "control panel", click "sound" and confirm if the sound was disabled or not. Also check if your wifi was disabled or turned of.

If there is still no sound, then maybe the sound and wifi of your laptop are not installed. To confirm this, go to "control panel", click "system", from system, look out for "Device Manager", under device manager, you will find a list of all your computer hardware(s) that are installed and not installed. If your wifi and sound are amongs the hardware(s) not installed, then you will have to look for drivers to install them. After installation, go back to the device manager to confirm if they installed not.

This my sound simple, but is it muted through the speaker icon (a red line through it) or by inadvertently hitting a button on he laptop itself? The wifi on many laptops can also be turned off by hitting button on the keyboard, the wifi light or led itself.

No sound, Bad graphics, No wifi Power...
Get the correct Voltage power supply and update drivers for any hardware that is not working properly after that. You can find one online, even try ebay.

it should work even without using the cd based on my experience. just be sure your wifi in your laptop is on. it should let you know if the wifi light is turned on on your laptop.

Wifi connection
Hello. The wifi switch should be on as indicated by the light beside it. Please press on Start-Connect to  - then select a wireless network then click Connect. If you are asked for the password, please enter it. Click on Open Network and Sharing Center to check if there is a red x mark between the network and the internet or between the network and the computer icons. If there is none, please launch your internet explorer. Hope this works. Thanks.
