When i start windows 7 i hear a beep sound that block the laptop its a a200 satelite laptop

1) For first level of troubleshooting i would like to request you to perform the following and please revert what you are getting.
Switch ON the PC, boot the PC in 'Safe Mode' by continuously tapping F8 button after you switch On until you get the Safe Mode Option.

Let windows boot in Safe Mode and log in to windows.

Toshiba satellite L675 freezes after startup. Windows &

Boot the computer into "Safe Mode".

To boot PC into Safe Mode follow these steps:

1. Turn the computer on or Restart the computer
2. Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Boot Options Menu appears. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.
3. Ensure that the Safe mode option is selected, not Repair Your Computer
4. Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe mode.
5. When you are finished with troubleshooting, close all programs and restart the computer as you normally would

If the computer boots into Safe Mode you can try disabling Startup Programs, one of these might be causing your computer to freeze. To do this follow these steps:

1 Press Start. Type msconfig into the search bar and press Enter. For XP, click on Run and type msconfig there.

My toshiba Satellite A305-S6905 won't stop freezing. I have done virus scans and disk clean up, but after 5 minutes of doing anything on the regular start up, it freezes. I have been able to use it now...

I would recommend first that you run adaware from www.lavasoft.com and spybot from www.safer-networking.org and check for spyware.

i would then try downloading a trial version of eset from www.eset.com

if that does not find anything, i would then try to take the hard drive out and use it as a second drive on a desktop computer (if its not a sata drive, you will need to buy a 3 1/2 to 2 1/4 inch hard drive converter connector) and run the spyware and virus scanner and have it scan the data drive.

it should solve the problem.

p.s. you might have some corrupted drivers, i would start with the VGA drivers.

My toshiba lap top keeps displayin the message "the installed program cannot start . click the ok button to turn off the computer . nothing has been installed . cannot load the lap top .

It seems your system is infected by virus... you need to run a virus scan with an up to date antivirus.. boot into the Safe Mode with networking and see if you can give a try with this or not.. Good luck.. [email protected]

Toshiba satellite laptop comes on and stays at windows xp page

If Safe Mode doesnt work then you may have to do a "repair" of your O/S. Place your Windows XP CD into the CD-Rom drive, reboot and once you see the options if you want to Install or Repair - choose Repair. This option will make repair to your O/S and for safe mode.
Once repair is complete do a complete Anti-Virus and Spyware scan of your Hard Drive. If you can boot into Safe Mode to run the ani-virus much better.
