Hello Ok let me see if i get your problem. your d52w13d rca itc22 chasis has no picture?. Do you still get the dvd screen when you plug it up. are you able to shut the set down with the remote or the front panel button. Can you push menu on ether the remote or the front panel and anything come up. Does the geen light on front come on and flash then shut down. this unit has a processor that shuts the unit down when it detects a safety issue. you take the unit out of dvd by either pressing the input button on remote. also you can channel up or down.

I was afraid of hearing that. It looks like the TV needs to be opened up and serviced. I really advise not doing this yourself.

Set is 7 years old - it turns off intermintently

Ours used to do that - and then we moved it to another state with us. Since the move it doesn't shut itself off anymore. I suspect that the problem was dirt and dust inside which got knocked loose in the move and the shutdown was due to thermal limits being exceeded. You may want to try vacuuming or blowing out the dust inside if you feel comfortable opening up the unit.

Are you prepared to spend $400 maybe more to fix it? The cat pee isn't the problem. It is either the SSB or power supply.

Check your Zoom settings on the remote. Go through them and see if it changes the screen back to normal.
